Shayne Thomas Ward (born 16 October 1984) is an English actor and singer. He rose to fame as the winner of The X Factor (British series 2), the second series of ''The X Factor (British TV series), The X Factor''. His debut single, "That's My Goal", was released in the United Kingdom on 21 December 2005 and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and was that year's List of UK Singles Chart Christmas number ones, Christmas number one. It sold 313,000 copies on its first day of sales, making it the third-fastest-selling single of all time in the UK, behind Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997" and Will Young's "Evergreen (Westlife song), Evergreen", which sold 685,000 and 400,000 copies in their first days of sale, respectively. Ward was the first ''X Factor'' winner to release an original song as his winner's single. ''Breathless'' is the second studio album by English singer Shayne Ward. It was released through Syco Music in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2007. The album is mostly written by Rami Yacoub, Arnthor Birgisson and Savan Kotecha. The album was commercially successful, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It sold 95,801 units within a week of release, although ultimately less successful than its predecessor, Ward's self-titled album. Two singles were released from the album, one of which was a Double A-side. On 31 October 2007, an official ''Breathless'' DVD, which included exclusive interviews and five music videos, was released via Woolworths stores in the UK. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. PledgeMusic was an online direct-to-fan music platform, launched in August 2009. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
