Shawn Wayans
Shawn Mathis Wayans (born January 19, 1971) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. Along with his brother Marlon Wayans, he wrote and starred in The WB's sitcom ''The Wayans Bros.''(1995–1999) and in the comedy films ''Don't Be a Menace'' (1996), ''Scary Movie'' (2000), ''Scary Movie 2'' (2001), ''White Chicks'' (2004), '' Little Man'' (2006), and ''Dance Flick'' (2009). He made his debut on ''In Living Color'' (1990–1993). Early life Wayans, the ninth of ten siblings, was born in New York City, New York, the son of Elvira Alethia (Green), a homemaker and social worker, and Howell Stouten Wayans, a supermarket manager. His family were once Jehovah's Witnesses. Wayans grew up in the Fulton Houses in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea and is a 1989 graduate of the Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities. Fulton Houses
The Robert Fulton Houses is a housing project located in the Chelsea neighborhood in the New York City Borough of Manhattan and is owned and operated by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The site is located between West 16th and 19th Streets and bounded by Ninth and Tenth Avenues. The project consists of 945 apartments in eleven buildings; three of the developments are 25 stories, while the others are 6 stories high. History The Robert Fulton Houses were designed by architects Brown & Guenther and were developed as a "vest pocket" site that retains the street grid. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 15, 1962 and the buildings were completed on March 31, 1965. Its confines are within the 10th Police Precinct. The housing project is named after engineer and inventor Robert Fulton (1765-1815). Waynehead
''Waynehead'' is an animated television series created by actor/comedian Damon Wayans and ran from 1996 to 1997 on Kids' WB, and on YTV from 1996 to 1998. It was a co-production of Warner Bros. Animation and Nelvana, with overseas animation by TMS-Kyokuchi Corporation, Hanho Heung-Up Co., Ltd., and Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. ''Waynehead'' lasted for 13 episodes for one season; Wayans stated that he was told by Warner Bros. that the show wasn't black enough or funny enough, to which a WB executive replied by stating that the show was merely low-rated. It is about a young boy named Damey Wayne from a poor background with a club foot and was based on Wayans' own childhood in the Chelsea neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan.
