Shawn Leonard Flegler (born 23 March 1972) is a former Australian cricketer who played domestically for Queensland cricket team, Queensland and Victoria cricket team, Victoria during the 1990s. Cricket Victoria
Cricket Victoria (CV) is the governing body for the sport of cricket in the Australian state of Victoria. It was formed on 29 September 1875 as the Victorian Cricket Association. It is integrated with the Victorian Women's Cricket Association to include funding, programs, office accommodation and staff assistance. As of 2019, CV administered the 1,065 cricket clubs and 448,000 registered cricketers in Victoria, who compete across 75 cricket competitions. It employs well over a hundred full time and part time staff, and is responsible for offering professional and semi-professional contracts to several dozen of its male and female cricketers. CV also administers the Victorian men's and women's representative teams, and the Victorian Premier Cricket competitions. Victorian Premier Cricket is a club cricket competition in the state of Victoria administered by Cricket Victoria. Each club fields four teams (firsts through to fourths) of adult players and usually play on weekends and public holidays. Matches are played on turf wickets under limited-time rules, with most results being decided on a first-innings basis. Outstanding players in the competition are selected to play for the Victorian Bushrangers at first-class and List A level, in the Sheffield Shield and Marsh One Day Cup competitions respectively. The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The One-Day Cup, known as the Marsh One-Day Cup for sponsorship reasons, is an Australian domestic List A 50-over limited-overs cricket tournament. It has had many different names, formats and teams since the inaugural 1969-1970 season. Initially a knockout cup, the competition now features a single round-robin followed by a finals series. The tournament is contested between teams representing the six states of Australia, who also compete in the first-class Sheffield Shield.
