Shaukat (wrestler)
Ayez Shaukat-Fonseka Farid (born July 19, 1987) is a Malaysian professional wrestler and actor who performs under his shortened name, Shaukat. He is best known for being Malaysia's most successful professional wrestler. Professional wrestling career In 2013, Shaukat, a then stunt-actor won a contest to have a lunch with WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T. He inspired Shaukat to start professional wrestling in Malaysia. Shaukat would then found a wrestling promotion and school unofficially named Persekutuan Gusti Malaysia (PGM) in 2014, which later was re-branded to Malaysia Pro Wrestling (MYPW) in 2016. In 2016, MYPW would have its first public showcase. In 2020, Shaukat would part ways with MYPW to start a new promotion called APAC Wrestling. In 2022, Shaukat would appear on Reality of Wrestling. Professional Wrestler
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rather than sanction the wrestlers for their deceit as was done with boxers, the public instead came to see professional wrestling as a performance art rather than a sport. The WWE Hall of Fame is a hall of fame which honors professional wrestlers and professional wrestling personalities maintained by WWE. Originally known as the "WWF Hall of Fame", it was created in 1993 when André the Giant was posthumously inducted with a video package as the sole inductee that year. The 1994 and 1995 ceremonies were held in conjunction with the annual King of the Ring pay-per-view events and the 1996 ceremony was held with the Survivor Series event. Booker T. Huffman Jr. (born March 1, 1965), better known by his ring name Booker T, is an American professional wrestler and color commentator. He is currently signed to WWE where he serves as a commentator on the NXT brand, and is also the owner and founder of the independent promotion Reality of Wrestling (ROW) in Texas City, Texas. Reality Of Wrestling
Reality of Wrestling (ROW) is an independent professional wrestling promotion based in Houston, Texas. It was established as Pro Wrestling Alliance (PWA) in 2005 by Booker T. History Pro Wrestling Alliance The Pro Wrestling Alliance's first show was held in December 2006. Owner Booker T started the promotion to give professional wrestlers the opportunity to properly train, as well as to keep the legacy of Paul Boesch's Houston Wrestling alive. The money made at shows is donated to Fights For Kids Foundation, which helps kids stay off the streets and shows them the benefits of a better life. Monthly events were held at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Texas, and later at the Clear Lake Recreation Sports Center in Clear Lake, Texas. Singapore Pro Wrestling, commonly shortened to SPW, is a professional wrestling promotion based in Singapore.
