Sharptooth is an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The ensemble has released an EP called ''Chompers'' and two studio albums, entitled ''Clever Girl'' and ''Transitional Forms''. History In May 2017, Sharptooth signed to Pure Noise Records. The label features other bands such as Knocked Loose, Senses Fail, and Less Than Jake. In early 2018, the ensemble toured with Anti-Flag, Stray from the Path and The White Noise. In May 2018, they then went on to tour with Senses Fail. In mid-2018, the ensemble performed on every date of the last full US run of the Vans Warped Tour. The quintet also opened for the first Cane Hill headlining tour in late 2018, and supported As It Is in early 2019. In April 2019, the ensemble recorded their second studio album, and travelled Europe with rock bands Comeback Kid, No Turning Back and Jesus Piece. Obey the Brave was a Canadian hardcore punk band From Montreal, Quebec and Ottawa, Ontario. Formed in 2012, the band features Despised Icon singer Alex Erian on vocals as well as Blind Witness bassist Miguel Lepage, guitarists John Campbell and Greg Wood, and drummer Stevie Morotti. Single Mothers is a Canadian punk rock band based in London, Ontario that formed in 2008. The band released its debut studio album ''Negative Qualities'' in 2014. History Canadian Andrew Thomson formed Single Mothers in 2008 after a breakup. The band released two EPs in its early years, ''Wild Party'' in 2010 and ''Single Mothers'' in 2011, the latter of which was released through Secret Voice — an imprint of Jacob Bannon's Deathwish Inc. founded by Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré. Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario. To date, they have released seven studio albums and six extended plays; with their most recent LP, ''Psychic Jailbreak'', having been released on 15 April 2022. The White Noise was an American punk rock band from Dallas, Texas, later based in Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2009 under the name Set the Sun by guitarist and vocalist David Southern and drummer Alex Summers, the band has gone through many lineup changes. Pure Noise Records is an American punk rock record label based in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded by Jake Round in 2009 while he was an editor at '' AMP''; the previous fall, friends of his in the band No Bragging Rights told him they were looking for a new label, and Round expressed interest in releasing the album himself. Prior to this Round had a short stint as an intern at Fat Wreck Chords. While the label began as a home operation, and had only put out five albums by the end of 2010, by 2014 some of the label's roster were main-stage acts at Warped Tour, and others had sold nearly 50,000 copies of their albums. Beatdown hardcore (also known as heavy hardcore, brutal hardcore, toughguy, moshcore, or simply beatdown) is a subgenre of hardcore punk with prominent elements of heavy metal. Beatdown hardcore features aggressive vocals, down-tuned electric guitars, gang vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and heavy breakdowns. The genre emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s with bands such as Killing Time, Madball, and Sheer Terror.
