Sharlyn Sarac
Sharlyn Sarac was born on 21 January 1980 in Perth, Western Australia and entered the media at age 17. Sarac presented the weekend edition of '' Nine News Perth'' from 2004 through to 2010. After working as a surf reporter with ''Ten News'' in Perth, she attended the WA Academy of Performing Arts Broadcasting course from 1998–2000 and later worked as a reporter at GWN, a Western Australia regional station. Later moving back to ''Ten News'', she became a general reporter for the 5pm news in Perth. In 2004, Sarac joined ''Nine News'' in Perth where she presents the weekend news and reports on 3 days a week. She has also covered Sonia Vinci's maternity leave. She is also a reporter on Nine's local summer lifestyle program ''Just Add Water''. Perth, Western Australia
Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. It is the fourth most populous city in Australia and Oceania, with a population of 2.1 million (80% of the state) living in Greater Perth in 2020. ''Nine News'' (stylised ''9News'') is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia. Its flagship program is the hour-long 6:00 pm state bulletin, produced by Nine's owned-and-operated stations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin. National bulletins also air on weekday mornings, weekend afternoons and most nights of the week after 10:30pm. ''10 News First'' is an Australian television newscast, produced by Network 10. The network's ninety-minute long news program airs at 5pm each evening covering local, national and world news, including sport and weather. Weekend editions are presented nationally from Network 10's studios in Pyrmont, Sydney. GWN7
GWN7 was an Australian Television broadcasting in Australia, television network serving all of Western Australia outside metropolitan Perth. It launched on 10 March 1967 as ''BTW-3'' in Bunbury, Western Australia, Bunbury. It was an affiliate of the Seven Network and served one of the largest geographic television markets in the world—almost one-third of the continent. The network's name, ''GWN'', is an acronym of Golden West Network, the network's name from 1979 to when the current name was adopted in 2011. In 2021, GWN7's parent company Prime Media Group merged with Seven and the brand was retired in 2022. Sonia Vinci
Sonia Vinci (born 1971) is a former journalist and co-anchor of ''Nine News'' in Perth. She began a journalist in 1990 at Perth radio 6PR and later became Australia's youngest female news director. During her time at 6PR, Sonia also worked at Channel Seven Perth as a weekend journalist for Seven News, and also read sports news for Seven's Footy Show in 1994. She later worked for regional station GWN as a news anchor before returning to 6PR and the Channel 9 in 2000. She worked initially as a stand-by news anchor, but later became weeknight anchor, and with Dixie Marshall was part of Australia's first female duo news team from 2003–2007. Matt Tinney
Matt Tinney (born 23 May 1984) is an Australian journalist. He is currently a presenter and reporter at Seven News#Perth, ''Seven News Perth'' and Perth correspondent on Sunrise (Australian TV program), ''Sunrise''. Career Tinney began his reporting career at WIN Television's national headquarters in Wollongong in 2005. He joined WIN News after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and Italian) at the University of Melbourne, including an internship with the Victorian Parliament. While studying, Melbourne-born Tinney worked in community television and radio at Channel 31 (Australia), Channel 31 and SYN FM. For three years, he presented and reported on news, current affairs, and entertainment programs, and received awards for his coverage.
