Sharjah Police Force
The Sharjah Police Force was established in 1967 by the then-ruler of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. Initially established as a citywide force, with the foundation of the United Arab Emirates in December 1971, the force took up a Federal role and reported to the UAE Ministry of the Interior. Departments Sharjah Police manages public security across the city and emirate of Sharjah, including the East Coast cities of Dibba Al Hisn, Khor Fakkan and Kalba. It consists of three organisational units, the General Directorate of Resources and Support Services; the General Directorate of Central Operations and the General Directorate of Police Operations. Hamriyah Port
Hamriyah Port is deep water seaport and ancillary facilities located in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The port is administered by the Department of Seaports and Customs, Government of Sharjah. The port is part of a free trade zone for companies and a center for export and re-export to other world markets. Nahwa
Nahwa is a territory that forms part of the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. It is a counter-enclave (or second-order enclave) within the Omani territory of Madha, which is itself an exclave of Oman and an enclave within the United Arab Emirates. To access the village of Nahwa, one has to take the northernmost road into the Madha enclave south of Khor Fakkan and follow the signs to New Madha. From New Madha, there is a paved but winding road (about ) leading to Nahwa. Entering Nahwa, there is an Emirati police outpost some after the boundary marker. The village itself is further up the road, on the same side as the police outpost. It consists of about 40 buildings and has its own clinic. Al Madam
Al Madam ( ar, ٱلْمَدَام) is an inland town of the Emirate of Sharjah, the UAE. Located at the intersection of the Dubai-Hatta ( E44) and Mleiha- Shwaib (E55) roads, its development has mainly centred around these road links and the road traffic through Hatta to Oman. The volume of traffic to Oman through Madam and Hatta has lessened since the closure of the 'soft' Omani border at Mahda in 2016, although traffic volumes remain at some 5,000 travellers daily. The road from Madam to Hatta is now only open to UAE or Omani nationals and permit holders. Dhaid
Dhaid, or Al Dhaid ( ar, ٱلذَّيْد, Adh-Dhayd), is the capital of the Central Region of the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. An oasis town, it has extensive irrigated date palm plantations with water channelled from the nearby Hajar mountains, at least in part through ancient tunnels dug for that purpose, known as '' aflāj'' in Arabic (''falaj'' in the singular). Al Heera
Al Heera is a suburb in Northern Sharjah (emirate), Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, traditionally home to the Darawishah, part of the Al Bu Shamis section of the Na'im tribe. At one stage declaring its independence from Sharjah, with its own Sheikh, it formally became part of the Emirate of Sharjah in 1942 on the death of its Ruler, Abdulrahman Al Shamsi. A coastal settlement with a small harbour formerly used by a number of fishermen and pleasure boat owners, its main distinguishing feature today is its police station, converted in 2019 into the 'Al Heera Literature Society' building. Kalba
Kalba () is a city in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is an exclave of Sharjah lying on the Gulf of Oman coast north of Oman. Khor Kalba (Kalba Creek), an important nature reserve and mangrove swamp, is located south of the town by the Omani border.
