Share Ross
Sharon June "Share" Ross (formerly Pedersen; born Sharon June Howe; March 21, 1963 in Glencoe, Minnesota) is an American musician. She was the bass player of the female hard rock band, Vixen, from whom she has been on hiatus since February 2022. Music career Ross joined Vixen in 1987, replacing Pia Maiocco, and remained with the band until 1992. After leaving Vixen, she co-formed the supergroup, Contraband, releasing only one album. When Vixen reunited in 1997, she declined as she and her husband, Bam had formed the group, Bubble. In 1997, legendary Texas blues guitarist Denny Freeman, (Bob Dylan, Jimmie Vaughan, Taj Mahal), invited Ross to play bass for his album A Tone For My Sins. In 1999, Ross and her husband Bam co-wrote the songs on Jesse Camp's debut album, ''Jesse & The 8th Street Kidz''. Vixen is an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 1980. During its most commercially successful period from 1987 to 1992, the band consisted of Jan Kuehnemund (lead guitar), Janet Gardner (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Share Ross (bass guitar), and Roxy Petrucci (drums). The band's eponymous first album was released in 1988, and reached No. 41 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Their second album ''Rev It Up'' was released in 1990, and reached No. 52 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Ratt is an American glam metal band formed in San Diego, California, in the 1970s, that had significant commercial success in the 1980s, with their albums having been certified as gold, platinum, and multi-platinum by the RIAA. The group is best known for their hit singles " Round and Round" and " Lay It Down", both of which charted in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Other songs such as " Wanted Man", " You're in Love", "Dance", and " Way Cool Jr." also charted on the Hot 100. Femme Fatale was an American hard rock band. Originally from Albuquerque, the band moved to Los Angeles and released one studio album before disbanding. Lead vocalist, Lorraine Lewis, restarted the band in 2013 with an all-female line-up. History Formation and disbandment (1987–1990) Femme Fatale was formed in 1987 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States. Later on that year, the band moved to Los Angeles and signed a recording contract with MCA Records after a well-received showcase. Dennis Edward Freeman (August 7, 1944 – April 25, 2021) was an American Texas and electric blues guitarist. Although he is primarily known as a guitar player, Freeman also played piano and electronic organ, both in concert and on various recordings. He worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, Bob Dylan, Angela Strehli, Lou Ann Barton, James Cotton, Taj Mahal, Barry Goldberg and Percy Sledge amongst others.
