Shane Enright
Shane Enright (born 12 June 1988 in Tralee) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for his local club Tarbert and, formerly, for the Kerry county team from 2011 to 2020. He played for the Kerry minor team in 2005 and 2006. In 2006, he won a Munster Minor Championship before losing to Roscommon in the All-Ireland Minor final after a replay. He then moved to the Under 21 team from 2007 to 2009. He had little success in 2007, Kerry being beaten by Clare in the first round. In 2008, Kerry won their first Munster Championship since 2002 and beat Kildare to win their first All Ireland Under 21 title since 1998. John Bunyan (sportsperson)
John Bunyan was a dual player from County Kerry. He played both football and hurling with Kerry during the 1970s. Originally from Ballydonoghue Johnny joined up with neighbouring Ballyduff who are more well known for hurling rather than football. Bunyan would go on to be a great player at both codes. In football, he won a Munster Under-21 Football Championship in 1968 and an All Ireland Senior medal in 1975. He played at full forward in the Munster Final having a notable battle with Humphrey Kelliher of Cork and also in the All Ireland semi-final against Sligo. He was omitted from the team for the final against Dublin. On the same day in 1975 his brother Robert captained the Kerry Minors to All Ireland victory over Tyrone. In hurling he also had success winning an All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship medal in 1972 and an All-Ireland Senior B Hurling Championship in 1976. Liam O'Flaherty (footballer)
Liam O'Flaherty was a footballer from Ballydonoghue in North County Kerry, Ireland. He played with Ballydonoghue and Kerry intercounty teams in the late 1980s till the late 1990s. He won an All Ireland Senior medal in 1997, he won a Minor All Ireland in 1988 and Under 21 Medal in 1990. Club At club level O'Flanerty played with Ballydonoghue and Shannon Rangers. Eoin Liston
Eoin "Bomber" Liston (born 16 October 1957 in Ballybunion, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Beale, his divisional side Shannon Rangers and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1978 and 1993. Liston is regarded as one of the greatest full-forwards in the history of the game. Playing career Club Liston played his club football with his local club called Beale. He lined out in the county championship with Shannon Rangers. In 1977 he was a member of the side that defeated Feale Rangers to take the county senior championship title. Denis Moran (Gaelic Footballer)
Denis "Ogie" Moran (born 16 January 1956 in Ballybunion, County Kerry) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer and manager. He played football with his local club Beale, his divisional side Shannon Rangers and also at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1975 and 1987. Early life Denis 'Ogie' Moran was born in Ballybunion, County Kerry in 1956. Born into a family that had a keen interest in Gaelic games, Moran's father instilled a love of the games in his son by bringing him to matches every weekend. In 1962 he was only six years-old when he travelled to Croke Park as the mascot to the Kerry team that captured the All-Ireland title. Moran was educated at the local national school and later boarded at the famous Franciscan College in Gormanston, County Meath. Paudie O'Donoghue
Paudie O'Donoghue (1944–2008) was an Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Ballylongford and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1964 until 1974. Club O'Donoghue played his club football with both Ballylongford and Shannon Rangers. It was a very successful time for both sides during his career. He won his first Kerry Senior Football Championship title in 1964 when the North Kerry side overcame East Kerry in the final. They would later go on to win the first ever Munster Senior Club Football Championship by beating Clare champions Cooraclare. The Kerry Senior Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Garvey’s SuperValu Senior Football Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Kerry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1889 for the top Gaelic football teams in the county of Kerry in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months, with the county final currently being played in either Austin Stack Park or FitzGerald Stadium in October. Munster Senior Club Football Championship
The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. It has been organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the final usually being played in late November. The prize for the winning team is the O'Connor Cup. Tarbert are a Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football club in Tarbert, County Kerry, Ireland. They play in the Kerry Junior Championship, Div 2 County League and Div 1 North Kerry Championship.
