Shannon Gugerty
Shannon Kevin Gugerty (born December 30, 1981) is a retired American mixed martial artist who last competed in the Featherweight division. A professional competitor from 2004 until 2012, he fought four times in the UFC, against notable names like Clay Guida, Terry Etim, and Spencer Fisher. He holds a win over Cub Swanson. Background Born and raised in Chula Vista, Gugerty began wrestling his freshman year of high school at the age of 14. As a senior, Gugerty began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Sambo under the tutelage of Dean Lister. Later, Gugerty began training in Muay Thai alongside fighters such as Brandon Vera. Clayton Charles Guida (; born December 8, 1981) is an American professional mixed martial artist, currently signed to the UFC competing in the Lightweight division. A professional competitor since 2003, Guida also formerly competed for Strikeforce, the WEC, King of the Cage, and Shooto. Guida was the inaugural Strikeforce Lightweight Champion. Newkirk is a city and county seat of Kay County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 2,172 at the 2020 census. History Newkirk is on land known as the Cherokee Outlet (popularly called the "Cherokee Strip"), which belonged to the Cherokee Indians until 1893. Bermudez has been a professional MMA competitor since 2009. He has made a name for himself mainly fighting on the east coast. Sean Keith Sherk (born August 5, 1973) is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC Lightweight Champion. He was in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, fighting in the featherweight division before suffering a traumatic brain injury in a traffic accident in Shawnee, Oklahoma on September 8, 2013.
