Shanker Dev Campus
Shanker Dev Campus ( ne, शंकरदेव क्याम्पस) is one of the constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University in Pradashani Marg, in Kathmandu. The campus was established in 1951. The campus runs programs in bachelor's and master's degrees in business studies. The campus was initiated to focus on the field of management. The academic departments in the campus are sub-divided into management, accounting, finance, marketing, and economics. It has different programs such as BBS, MBS, BBA, BIM, MBM and BBM in different shifts (morning, day, evening). History The campus was established in 1951 as Nepal National College running from Durbar High School and later from Tri-Chandra College. Tribhuvan University (TU; ne, त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालय) is a public university located in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. Established in 1959, TU is the oldest university in Nepal. In terms of enrollment, it is the 12th largest university in the world. The college offers 1000 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines. Additionally, the institution has 30 constituent campuses and over 600 affiliated colleges across the country. Nepal Student Union
Nepal Student Union ( NSU) is one of the major student political wings in Nepal. The Nepal Student Union represents the Nepali Congress, currently the ruling party of Nepal. During the autocratic King's rule (''Panchayati Byawastha''), the union played a major role in unifying students to overthrow King's direct rule and establish democracy in the country. History The organization was formed during autocratic Panchayat era. Durbar High School
Durbar High School () or Bhanu Higher Secondary School, opened in 1854 is the oldest modern school in Nepal located near Rani Pokhari, Kathmandu. The school was originally built to teach sons of Ranas exclusively but was opened to public citizens in 1901 by Dev Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana. At first, Rana children were given education at Thapathali Durbar but later Jung Bahadur Rana moved it into its own building at Ranipokhari, Kathmandu. Some parts of the school were destroyed in the April 2015 Nepal earthquake. The school was rebuilt under the Chinese Aid. History Durbar High School also known as Bhanu Secondary School is established during Rana regime. Established in 1854, Durbar High School is the country's first school. Tri-Chandra College
Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, more colloquially known as Tri-Chandra College, is a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University located in Ghantaghar, Kathmandu. Found in 1918 by Chandra Shumsher, it is the oldest institute of higher learning in Nepal. Etymology The current name ''Tri-Chandra'' is a truncated combination of two words: ''Tribhuvan'' for Mahārājādhirāja Tribhuwan Bir Bikram Shah and ''Chandra'' for Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher. The college was originally named Tribhuvan Chandra Intermediate Campus but later renamed and shortened to its current name. History Nepal's first institution of higher education, Tri-Chandra College, was established in 1918 by Chandra Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana.
