Shankar Pokharel Cabinet
Shankar Pokharel was sworn in as Chief Minister of Lumbini Province on 14 February 2018. Here is the list of ministers. This government has been at to fall till 11 August 2021 as ruling party of federal level, Nepali Congress and third largest party in assembly, CPN(Maoist centre) collision has reached majority with a common understanding. Lumbini Province
Lumbini Province ( ne, लुम्बिनी प्रदेश, Lumbinī pradēśa) is a province in western Nepal. It borders Gandaki Province and Karnali Province to the north, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar of India to the south. Lumbini is the third largest and the third most populous province among the Nepali provinces. Lumbini's capital, Deukhuri, is near the geographic centre of the province; it is a small town which is currently being developed to meet the prerequisite of provincial capital. Rastriya Janamorcha ( ne, राष्ट्रिय जनमोर्चा, lit=National People's Front) is a political party in Nepal. It was originally founded in 1995 as the legal front of Communist Party of Nepal (Masal). Former Deputy Prime Minister, Chitra Bahdur KC is the chairman of the party. It was re-founded again in 2006 after breaking away from Janamorcha Nepal and still acts as the legal front for the Mohan Bikram Singh led Communist Party of Nepal (Masal). Kul Prasad KC ( ne, कुल प्रसाद केसी) is a Nepalese politician and current Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, a province in western Nepal. He was unanimously selected Parliamentary Party leader of CPN(Maoist-centre) for Lumbini Province. KC was elected from Rolpa 1(A) to provincial Assembly of Lumbini province. He is the second Chief-minister of Lumbini Province after Shankar Pokhrel resigned from the post. KC became chief minister by the support of Nepali Congress, PSP-N and Rastriya Janamorcha. KC has previously worked as Minister for Internal Affairs and Law in Shankar Pokharel Cabinet while resigned on 6 Baishakh 2078 when he was already proposed as the next Chief minister. The People's Socialist Party, Nepal ( abbr. PSP-N; ne, जनता समाजवादी पार्टी, नेपाल), also known as Janata Samajbadi Party is the sixth-largest political party in Nepal. Since the 2022 local election, the party has been limited to stand only as the third largest party of Madhesh Province after the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) respectively.
