Shane Patrick Hughes (born June 7, 1996), known professionally as Shane Eagle, is a South African rapper, songwriter, television personality and record producer. He rose to fame in 2015, after finishing fourth place on the first season of the Vuzu rapping reality competition, ''The Hustle''. After releasing several non-album singles, Eagle released his debut album ''Yellow'' in 2017, which features the gold-certified lead single, "Let It Flow". The 24th Annual South African Music Awards was held at Sun City, in the North West on June 2, 2018. The list of nominees was announced on April 19, 2018 at Birchwood Hotel in Ekurhuleni. Mafikizolo, Mi Casa and Shekhinah each received a node of nomination Other artists with multiple nominations include Mobi Dixon, Distruction Boyz and Riky Rick. Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) is a trade association representing the interests of major and independent record labels of South Africa. Located in Randburg, RISA is responsible for running the annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and for music recording certification in South Africa. Castle Brewery
Castle Brewery is one of the oldest commercial breweries in South Africa. As company-endorsed legend would have it, the company was founded by Charles Glass in Johannesburg in 1894. UCT history professor Anne Kelk Mager has argued that the official SAB story overemphasized the role of Charles and that it was his wife Lisa Glass who was primarily responsible for the creation of Castle. It later merged with other breweries to form South African Breweries, which still later merged with Miller of the United States to form SABMiller.
