Shamrock Diaries
''Shamrock Diaries'' is the seventh studio album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released in 1985. This album represents the beginning of a creative and commercial zenith for Rea. ''Shamrock Diaries'' was a huge seller in Europe, reaching the top 20 in several countries including Ireland, West Germany, Czechoslovakia, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and spent forty two weeks in the Dutch charts, peaking at No. 3. The album was also successful in Australia, where it charted in the top 50. " Stainsby Girls" became Rea's first Top 30 single since 1978's " Fool If You Think It's Over". In 1988, Magnet Records was taken over by Warner Bros Records, who re-released ''Shamrock Diaries'' with a significantly remixed version of " Josephine". Ron Carroll
Ronald Michael Carroll is an American DJ, singer, songwriter and producer. He is primarily known in the house music circuit. Carroll has worked with many of house's most famous producers, including E-Smoove, Maurice Joshua and Bob Sinclar. He has also produced, usually with partner Spero Pagos, for other vocalists or his own songs. Musical career Carroll was born in Chicago in 1968. As a boy, he learned to sing while a member of his church choir. As a teenager, he was a fan of rock band Kiss, but became interested in house music when he attended a high school dance and spent time watching the DJ perform. Carroll started performing as a DJ in the late 1980s in a club he himself opened. The Law is the first and only album from the Paul Rodgers led group The Law (English band), The Law. History The Law was formed when Paul Rodgers met Kenney Jones in a nightclub in London and decided to put a band together. The two teamed up with different supporting musicians in order to give Rodgers freedom to pursue whatever music style he felt like. Unlike his previous projects, in which he wrote or co-wrote most of the material, Rodgers relied heavily on outside writers to write songs for the album (such as Phil Collen, Chris Rea and Bryan Adams); the only chart topper of the album, "Laying Down the Law", was written by Rodgers himself. The album features notable appearances by David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea. The Law (English Band)
The Law were an English rock group formed in 1991 by singer Paul Rodgers (ex- Free, Bad Company and The Firm) and drummer Kenney Jones (ex-Small Faces/Faces and The Who). They intended to use different supporting musicians, to allow Rodgers to pursue whatever style he wished. They assembled a core band of studio musicians, consisting of Jim Barber (whose credits include The Rolling Stones, Ruby Turner and Mick Jagger's solo album ''Primitive Cool'') as the main guitarist, second guitarist John Staehely (ex-Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne) and bassist Pino Palladino (formerly of Paul Young's and Jools Holland's bands), with guest spots by guitarists such as David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea.
