Shammi Kapoor (born Shamsher Raj Kapoor; (pronounced ʌmːi kʌpuːɾ 21 October 1931 – 14 August 2011) was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi cinema. He is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards, winning in the categories of Best Actor for ''Brahmachari'' (1967) and Best Supporting Actor for ''Vidhata'' (1982). In 1995, he was honored with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. A member of the Kapoor family, he made his film debut with the commercially unsuccessful '' Jeewan Jyoti'' (1953). Nargis Rabadi (24 April 1929 – 6 March 2018), better known by her stage name Shammi, was an Indian actress who appeared in over two hundred Hindi cinema, Hindi films. Atulugamage Shammi Shiraj Silva ( si, අටුලුගමගේ ෂම්මි ශිරාජ් සිල්වා, born 7 August 1960) is a sports administrator and the current president (2019/2022) of Sri Lanka Cricket. Shammi Narang is an Indian voice-over artist, ex news anchor and entrepreneur based in Delhi. Graduating with an engineering degree, Narang first got into the voice-over profession by working in the Hindi division of Voice of America. Later he was selected from among 10,000 candidates into Doordarshan, which was then the only channel in India, and became the 'face of Doordarshan news reading' and Indian Television in general during the 1970s – 80s.
