Peace Now ( he, שלום עכשיו ''Shalom Achshav'', ) is a non-governmental organization, liberal advocacy and activist group in Israel with the aim of promoting a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Objectives/positions * Two states for two nations – Israel and Palestine * A Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel, based on the borders of June 1967 with land swaps agreed upon by both sides * Jerusalem – In an official document from 1982 Peace Now advocated for an undivided Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Peace is a concept of societal friendship and harmony in the absence of hostility and violence. In a social sense, peace is commonly used to mean a lack of conflict (such as war) and freedom from fear of violence between individuals or groups. Throughout history, leaders have used peacemaking and diplomacy to establish a type of behavioral restraint that has resulted in the establishment of regional peace or economic growth through various forms of agreements or peace treaties.
