Shaky Beats Music Festival
The Shaky Beats Music Festival was an annual music festival that took place in Central Park (Atlanta), Central Park in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. The festival was inaugurated in 2016 and featured largely Electronic dance music, EDM acts such as Odesza, Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Porter Robinson, and Carnage (DJ), Carnage. On October 15, 2019, the organizers of the festival announced on their Facebook page that the festival will not be returning in 2020, and will be retired effective immediately. The festival's first iteration hosted a total of 33,000 people. The second Shaky Beats Music Festival ran from May 5–7, 2017 at Centennial Olympic Park and featured acts like The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, and GRiZ. Central Park (Atlanta)
Central Park is a 17.37 acre park in the Fourth Ward West neighborhood of the Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, Georgia. It was known as Bedford-Pine Park prior to 1999. The open space was created as a result of City of Atlanta Urban Renewal in the 1960s. The Atlanta community comes to this park for casual use and coordinated events such as free movie nights that occur on certain days in the spring time and weekly during the summer season. Shaky Knees Music Festival
Shaky Knees Music Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. The festival was founded in 2013 by Tim Sweetwood in order to bring a proper indie music festival to the city of Atlanta, which already hosts festivals such as Sweetwater 420 Fest and Music Midtown. The festival is currently held in Central Park (Atlanta) in Old Fourth Ward. Shaky Knees began as a two-day festival and his since expanded to include a third day. The festival features both artists from around the globe and smaller regional acts, primarily in the indie rock, indie folk, country music, and alternative rock genres. Strfkr (a disemvowelment of "Starfucker"), stylized in all caps, is an indie rock band from Portland, Oregon. It began in 2007 as a solo project of Joshua Hodges.
