Shakura S'Aida
Shakura S'Aida is a Canadian blues vocalist, songwriter and actress. She is sometimes credited Shakura. History Shakura S'Aida was born in Brooklyn and lived in Switzerland before moving to Canada. S'Aida was lead singer of the 13-piece world music ensemble Kaleefah, before embarking on her solo career. She has also performed as a backing vocalist for Rita MacNeil and Patti LaBelle, as well as with jazz musicians such as Jimmy Smith and Ruth Brown. She has also been nominated for several Juno Awards for her music. S'Aida independently released her first solo album, ''Blueprint'', in 2008. Her second album, ''Brown Sugar'', was released in 2010 on Ruf Records. In 2012, she released a double CD, ''Time'', on Electro-Fi Records. As an actress, she starred in a Toronto production of George Boyd's ''Consecrated Ground'' in 2004, as well as Sudz Sutherland's ''Doomstown'' in 2006 and Sharon Lewis's film ''Brown Girl Begins'' in 2018. Shakhura
Shakhura (Arabic:شاخورة , sometimes transliterated as Shakura) is a village situated in north-central Bahrain. It is a part of the Northern Governorate administrative region. The village is notable for its burial mounds, which have been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. History Shakhura is the site of an ancient necropolis dating back to the Tylos era of Bahraini history. The site was estimated to have been occupied from the 3rd century BC to the 4th century AD. Of significant interest of the site was a large 80 m long, 4–12.7 high burial mound. It was noted to have had several distinct raised parts. The mound was demolished during the 1990s to make way for buildings. Archaeological excavations Archaeological work at the mound revealed 90 graves with the earliest graves situated in the centre of the mound, while others were added later in arcs around the mound. Sergey Kayumovich Shakurov (russian: Сергей Каюмович Шакуров, tt-Cyrl, Сергей Каюм улы Шәкүров, translit=Sergey Qayum ulı Şäkürov; born 1 January 1942) is a Soviet and Russian actor of theater. He has appeared in more than ninety films since 1967. Life and career Sergey Shakurov was born in Russian-Tatar family of Moscow. In 1964, after graduating from the school-studio, actor started working at the Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya, and a year later he was accepted into the troupe of the Central Academic Theatre of the Soviet Army. Out of the theater together with Leonid Kheyfetz in the Maly Theatre after the close of the play "Two Friends" by Vladimir Voinovich, but it was not adopted.
