"Shake It" is a song by American pop band Metro Station, released as the third single (and debut British single) from the group's 2007 self-titled debut studio album. "Shake It" was the band's first charting single, peaking at number 10 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Internationally, the song peaked within the top 10 of the charts in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 13, 2008, and later Platinum that year, until finally reaching 2× Platinum status at the end of January 2009. Shake It Records
Shake It Records (often stylized Shake It! Records) is a record label and record store in the Northside, Cincinnati, Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is co-owned by brothers Jim and Darren Blase. As of 2010, their record store had almost 20,000 CDs and 50,000 vinyl records for sale. History Shake It Records was founded in 1979 by Jess Hirbe and Daryl "Doc" Kalmus, to release albums by Cincinnati-area bands like the Customs. In the early 1990s, Darren Blase called Hirbe, who had by then sold the record store, to ask if he could revive the label. Hirbe said yes, and in 1992, Blase acquired the label in return for a copy of the Jack Dupree album ''Blues in the Gutter''. By 1999, the label had become the most active one dedicated to punk rock and roots rock in Cincinnati. In 1999, Blase re-opened the Shake It record store. Alex Cartañá (born Alexandra Rosamund Cartañá-Marks; 7 April 1983) is a British singer-songwriter and actress of Spanish origin. ''Let's Dance'' is the 15th studio album by English singer-songwriter David Bowie, released on 14 April 1983 through EMI America Records. After the release of '' Scary Monsters'' (1980), Bowie began a period of numerous musical collaborations and film appearances. By 1982, he left RCA Records out of dissatisfaction and signed with EMI America. Wanting a fresh start, he chose Nile Rodgers of the band Chic to co-produce his next record. The album was recorded in December 1982 at the Power Station in New York City. The sessions featured entirely new players, including then-unknown Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan on lead guitar. For the first time ever, Bowie only sang and played no instruments. Caesars were a Swedish indie rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1995. In their native country, the band was originally known as Caesars Palace, a name which was changed to avoid conflicting with the name of the Las Vegas hotel. ''New Jack City II'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Bow Wow. It was released on March 31, 2009 through LBW Entertainment and Columbia Records.
