Shahzar Rizvi (born 18 June 1994) Is an Indian Ace shooter. As a shooter, competing in the 10 metre air pistol event, he won a gold medal in the 2018 ISSF World Cup and in 2017 Commonwealth Shooting Championships. Mawana is a city in Meerut district in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. It is 26 km from the district headquarters Meerut. Its name comes from the word "Muhana" which means gateway. 10 Metre Air Pistol
The 10 meter air pistol is an Olympic shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is similar to 10 meter air rifle in that it is shot with 4.5 mm (or .177) caliber air guns at a distance of 10 metres (11 yards), and that the match consists of a qualification round of 60 competition shots within 75 minutes. If an Electronic Scoring System (EST) is not available, 15 minutes are added to the time limit. Competitors are allowed to shoot an unlimited amount of shots during the 15 minutes preparation and sighting time. Along with the 50 meter pistol, it is considered a precision shooting event. Thus, numerous shooters compete in both events. There are some restrictions on the pistol regarding its dimensions, weight and trigger pull weight. ISSF World Shooting Championships
The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. By this logic, the 2006 competition in Zagreb was called the 49th ISSF World Shooting Championships. These championships, including all ISSF shooting events, are held every four years since 1954. For the shotgun events only, there is an additional World Championship competition in odd-numbered years. These extra competitions are not numbered. The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. The 2018 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. Considering 2020 Olympic Games, the ISSF has made many changes in the categories and competition. For the first time, mixed team medal events in 10m Air Pistol, 10m Air Rifle and Trap categories have been introduced officially while 50m Rifle Prone Men, 50m Pistol Men and Double Trap Men, which were earlier part of World Cup Series and Olympic Games has been discontinued from this World Cup series.
