Shahriar, Tehran Province
Shahriar ( fa, شهريار, also Romanized as Shahriyār, Shahreyār, and Shahriār; also known as ‘Alī Shāh ‘Avaẕ and Ali Shāh ‘Iwaz) is a city and capital of Shahriar County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 328,190, in 51,814 families. History The ''Municipality of Shahriar'' was established in 1953, in which the population of the city was 5,000. On 8 January 2020, Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 was accidentally shot down near the city, killing all 176 people on board. Transportation The city is served by buses from the municipal-run Shahriar Municipality and Suburbs Bus Organization, connecting the city to Tehran and Karaj, while also serving a group of smaller surrounding towns. Shahriar Sayeed Husain
The 2005 Dhaka garment factory collapse or Spectrum garment factory collapse was a structural failure that occurred on Monday, 11 April 2005 in the Savar Upazila of Dhaka, Bangladesh where a nine-story commercial building collapsed. The site is located about 30 km northwest of Dhaka. The explosion of a boiler on the ground floor triggered the collapse. The owner of the building was Shahriar Sayeed Husain, a Bangladeshi businessman. He is married to Farah Mahbub, a judge of Bangladesh High Court. Munim Shahriar (born 22 May 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in March 2022. Hassan Shahriar (25 April 1946 – 10 April 2021) was a Bangladeshi journalist, columnist, and political analyst. Early life and career Shahriar was born on 25 April 1946 at Sunamganj, a district of Greater Sylhet region. Shahriar served ''The Daily Ittefaq'' as its executive editor. Shahriar Shafiq
Shahriar Shafiq ( fa, شهریار شفیق ; 15 March 1945 – 7 December 1979) was an Iranian Imperial Navy Captain and a member of the House of Pahlavi. He was the son of Shahdokht (equivalent to English term Princess) Ashraf Pahlavi, twin sister of the Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. His military career lasted from 1963 until the Iranian Revolution in 1979. He stayed until March 1979 when he had to escape Iran after months of fighting the revolutionaries. Shahriar Shafiq resided in Paris until 7 December 1979, when he was assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic. Early life and education Shafiq was born in Cairo on 15 March 1945. Shahriar Mandanipour ( fa, شهریار مندنی پور; also ''Shahriar Mondanipour''(February 15, 1957), Shiraz, Iran, is an Iranian writer, journalist and literary theorist. Mandanipour was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran. In 1975 he moved to Tehran and studied Political Sciences at the University of Tehran, graduating in 1980. In 1981, he enlisted in the army for his military service. To experience war and to write about it, he volunteered to join the front during the Iran-Iraq war and served there as an officer for eighteen months.
