Shahdari Zanjan Football Club is an Iranian football club based in Zanjan, Iran. They compete in the Azadegan League. Their home stadium is the 15,000 seater Kargaran Stadium. They competed in the 2010–11 Iran Football's 2nd Division. History Establishment The club was originally known as Shahab Zanjan, competing in the Azadegan League since the 2002/03 season. In the middleof the Azadegan League 2005/06 season the club was renamed Daneshgah Azad Zanjan (''Azad University Zanjan'') due to change of sponsorship. In the Azadegan League 2006/07 season they were renamed again to Toseyeh Rouye Zanjan. They were once again renamed for the 2007/08 season to Kaveh Zanjan. They were again renamed Shahrdari Zanjan for the Azadegan League 2008-09 season. Zanjan (city)
Zanjan (Persian language, Persian: زنجان, ; Azerbaijani language, Azerbaijani: زنگان) is a city in northwest Iran, serving as the capital of Zanjan Province. Hazfi Cup
Hazfi Cup (Jām-e Hazfi; ) is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation. The Iranian football league was not held during the 1980s, hence the winner of Hazfi Cup represented Iran in the Asian Club Championship. After the revive of the league system, the champion of Iranian league qualified for Asian Club Championship and the winner of Hazfi Cup ran for Asian Cup Winners' Cup. However, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup merged with the Asian Champions Cup in 2002–03 to form the AFC Champions League and Iran had been initially given two (and later four) slots in this competitions. The IRIFF decided to award one of Iran's AFC Champions League spots to the winner of the Hazfi Cup, and since then, the winners of Hazfi Cup have always been allocated a spot in the AFC Champions League. Reza Ahadi ( fa, رضا احدی, November 30, 1962 – January 17, 2016) was an Iranian footballer who played as a midfielder for the Iran national football team, Iran national team and Tehran's Esteghlal F.C., Esteghlal. Mohsen Garousi ( fa, محسن گروسی, born 28 November 1968) is an Iranian retired football player and manager. Following his playing career, he coached Shahab Zanjan F.C. and served as the assistant of Farhad Kazemi at Paykan F.C. Mehdi Monajati ( fa, مهدی مناجاتی, born 29 June 1947) is a retired Iranian footballer and Coach. Club career Monajati started his professional football career with Pas Tehran in his homeland in Tehran. He played his whole football career with Pas Tehran playing with the team for 15 years.
