Shaheed Chandu Stadium ( bn, শহীদ চান্দু স্টেডিয়াম), previously known as Bogura Divisional Stadium or Bogura Stadium, is a stadium located in the northwestern side of Bogura district, Bangladesh. History The venue got its first international exposure when it hosted three group stage matches of 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. It became a test cricket venue on 8 March 2006, when it hosted a Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It has a total capacity of 18,000. The ground has a field dimensions of 175m x 140m. The last international match played here was between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in 2006, since then it has hosted domestic cricket . Bogra ( bn, বগুড়া), officially known as Bogura, is a major city located in Bogra District, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. The city is a major commercial hub in Northern Bangladesh. Bogra Airport (sometimes Bogura Airport) is a primarily military but planned for public use airport northwest of Bogra, Bangladesh. It is operated by the Bangladesh Air Force. As of July 2015, no scheduled passenger flights serve the airport, but civil air operations are allowed with prior approval. History The airport was dedicated on 12 March 2005. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), airlines do not serve Bogra because demand is too low for a route to be commercially viable without smaller aircraft than those the airlines operate. ''The Independent'' reported a senior CAAB official as saying, "If the airlines are not interested in using our airports, we can't force them to." Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. In cricket, a one-Test wonder is usually a cricketer who is only selected for one Test match during his career and never represents his country again.
