Shady XV
''Shady XV'' (stylized as ''SHADYXV'') is a hip hop compilation album performed by various artists of Shady Records. The double disc album was released on November 24, 2014, by Shady Records and Interscope Records. The album was released in honor of the label's 15th anniversary and as its 15th project (excluding Eminem's solo releases). The compilation consists of two discs, the first featuring new material from Shady Records artists such as Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D12 and Yelawolf, as well as the label's founder Eminem. The second disc includes the label's greatest hits, also featuring former Shady Records members. All previous and current members of the label are represented on the album. Release and promotion On June 3, 2014, Eminem's manager and Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg tweeted "Shady XV". Jeff Bass
Jeffrey Bass ( ; born May 16, 1961) is an American music producer from Detroit, Michigan, best known as one half of the Bass Brothers and for his work with Eminem. Career At age 16, Bass, along with 4 of his childhood friends formed Detroit-based R&B group ''Dreamboy''. In 1980, when Bass was 19 years old, ''Dreamboy'' was signed to Qwest Records, a record label created by Quincy Jones that same year. The group released their debut album in 1983, and a follow-up in 1984 before their contract expired and they were dropped from the label in 1985. Bass would eventually go on to co-produce the song "Lose Yourself," alongside Eminem which won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 75th Academy Awards. Paul Rosenberg (music Manager)
Paul D. Rosenberg (born August 1, 1971) is an American music manager, current CEO of Goliath Records and former CEO of Def Jam Recordings, best known as the agent and manager of American rapper Eminem. He is also known for his associations with The Knux, DJ AM, Action Bronson, and band Blink-182. Career In addition to being a manager of several music acts, Rosenberg is also the co-founder of hip-hop record label Shady Records, founded in 1999. Yelawolf
Michael Wayne Atha (born December 30, 1979), better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper. Born in Alabama and raised in Tennessee, he embarked on his career independently in 2005, releasing one extended play (EP) and four mixtapes until 2010. It was not until 2010's ''Trunk Muzik'' EP that Yelawolf started to gain mainstream attention, culminating with Yelawolf signing a deal with Interscope Records. Bad Meets Evil
Bad Meets Evil is an American hip hop duo composed of Detroit-based rappers Royce da 5'9" (Bad) and Eminem (Evil). Bad Meets Evil was formed in 1998, thanks to the duo's mutual friend, Proof. The group's name comes from the song "Bad Meets Evil" on ''The Slim Shady LP'' in 1999, which featured Royce da 5'9". Their discography consists of one extended play (EP) and four singles. In 1999, the duo released a double non-album single, " Nuttin' to Do" and "Scary Movies"; the former peaked at 36 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, while the latter peaked at 63 on the UK Singles Chart and was featured on the soundtrack of the 2000 horror comedy parody film ''Scary Movie''. Slaughterhouse was an American hip hop supergroup consisting of rappers Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9".
