The Shadow Ministry of Anthony Albanese was the Opposition Australian Labor Party Shadow Ministry between 2 June 2019 and 23 May 2022, during the Morrison Government. The Shadow Ministry was established by Anthony Albanese following his election as Leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and Leader of the Opposition on 30 May 2019. Following Labor's victory at the 2022 Australian federal election on 21 May 2022, the Shadow Ministry was replaced by the Albanese Ministry. The Shadow Ministry was the Opposition's alternative to the Second Morrison Ministry, which was sworn in on 29 May 2019. Its most senior members formed a "shadow Cabinet" to the official Cabinet of Australia led by Prime Minister Scott Morrison. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a scheme of the Australian Government that funds costs associated with disability. The scheme was legislated in 2013 and went into full operation in 2020. The scheme is administered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and overseen by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission). The scheme entitles people with a "permanent and significant" disability (under the age of 65), to full funding for any "reasonable and necessary" support needs related to their disability (subject to certain restrictions). Funding is allocated to the individual, and the individual or their guardian chooses which providers supply the funded goods and services (subject to certain restrictions). The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate is a party office held by the Opposition's most senior member of the Shadow Cabinet in the Australian Senate, elected to lead the opposition party (or parties) in the body.
