Chris Hipkins announced his shadow cabinet on 30 November 2023, after the formation of the Sixth National Government. As the Labour Party forms the largest party not in government, this shadow cabinet is the Official Opposition of the New Zealand House of Representatives. Grant Robertson
Grant Murray Robertson (born 30 October 1971) is a New Zealand politician and member of the Labour Party who has served as the 19th deputy prime minister of New Zealand since 2020 and the minister of Finance since 2017. He has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for since 2008. Robertson maintained and competed for several leadership positions during the party's stint in opposition following the end of the Fifth Labour Government. Jo-Anne Marie Luxton (born 1973) is a New Zealand politician and a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives for the Labour Party. Personal life Luxton owns and operates the Hinds Early Learning Centre, the first such business in New Zealand to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. She is the great-niece of former Labour Prime Minister Norman Kirk. She is of Māori descent.
