Box Set
A box set or (its original name) boxed set is a set of items (for example, a compilation of books, musical recordings, films or television programs) traditionally packaged in a box and offered for sale as a single unit. Music Artists and bands with an extremely long and successful career often have anthology or "essential" collections of their boxes of music released as box sets. These often include rare and never-before-released tracks. Some box sets collect previously released boxes of singles or albums by a music artist, and often collect the complete discography of an artist such as Pink Floyd's ''Oh, by the Way'' and ''Discovery'' sets. Sometimes bands release expanded versions of their most successful albums such as Pink Floyd's ''Immersion'' box set versions of their ''The Dark Side of the Moon'' (1973), ''Wish You Were Here'' (1975) and ''The Wall'' (1979) albums. Pink Floyd have also released ''The Early Years 1965–1972'' box set which features mostly unreleased mate ...

Isis (band) Albums
Isis (; ''Ēse''; ; Meroitic: ''Wos'' 'a''or ''Wusa''; Phoenician: 𐤀𐤎, romanized: ʾs) was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion whose worship spread throughout the Greco-Roman world. Isis was first mentioned in the Old Kingdom () as one of the main characters of the Osiris myth, in which she resurrects her slain brother and husband, the divine king Osiris, and produces and protects his heir, Horus. She was believed to help the dead enter the afterlife as she had helped Osiris, and she was considered the divine mother of the pharaoh, who was likened to Horus. Her maternal aid was invoked in healing Spell (paranormal), spells to benefit ordinary people. Originally, she played a limited role in royal rituals and temple rites, although she was more prominent in funerary practices and magical texts. She was usually portrayed in art as a human woman wearing a throne-like hieroglyph on her head. During the New Kingdom (), as she took on traits that originally belong ...

In The Absence Of Truth
''In the Absence of Truth'' is the fourth full-length studio album by American post-metal band ISIS, released by Ipecac Recordings on October 31, 2006. The vinyl release was handled by Conspiracy Records. The album expands upon the group's previous full-length, ''Panopticon'', further exploring lead singer Aaron Turner's clean vocals (though his former techniques, which relied more on screaming and growling are still present as well). Musically, the album is dynamic, ranging from extended musical ambience to almost tribal drumming. Isis continued their lengthy songwriting; ''In The Absence of Truth'' is in fact Isis' longest record, at almost 65 minutes. Recording Details regarding the album were sparse; completion of the album was announced via a blog post on July 8, 2006. While the record was in the writing and recording stages, some band members were based in New York City and others in Los Angeles. Aaron Turner later confessed that the album "suffered" due to this situation. ...

Panopticon (album)
''Panopticon'' is the third full-length album by Los Angeles, California based post-metal band ISIS, released by Ipecac Recordings in 2004. The album's title is derived from philosopher Jeremy Bentham's panopticon prison ideal and philosopher/historian Michel Foucault's later allegorical appropriation of the concept. The liner notes also include quotes from technology writer Howard Rheingold and futurist Alex Steffen; as a concept album, ''Panopticons focus is on the proliferation of surveillance technologies throughout modern society and the government's role in that spread. Critical response to ''Panopticon'' was generally very warm; as it followed 2002's critically acclaimed ''Oceanic'', many reviewers were quick to hold the two in comparison. The consensus was that ''Panopticon'' represented a progression, of sorts. The album's sound continued ISIS' departure from the strictures of sludge and metal – which had been the hallmarks of their earlier material – and continue ...

Oceanic (Isis Album)
''Oceanic'' is the second full-length album by American post-metal band ISIS, released on September 17, 2002, by Ipecac Recordings. On November 4, 2014, a remastered edition was released via Hydrahead/Ipecac Recordings. On July 23, 2006, Isis performed ''Oceanic'' in its entirety at KOKO, Camden Town, London as part of the All Tomorrow's Parties curated Don't Look Back series. This performance was recorded and eventually released in 2009 as ''Live V''. The track "Weight" was used in the 20th episode of the 1st season of the 2007 television series '' Friday Night Lights. Themes and concept The album themes are considered to be an expansion on the bands 1999 EP The Red Sea, which includes themes of water throughout, death, emotional detachment, incest, and suicide. Oceanic is a concept album (presumably told non-chronologically, or told through memories) about a man who, on the brink of emotional emptiness and numbness, finds a female counterpart who, prematurely, completes him ...

Celestial (Isis Album)
''Celestial'' is the debut album by American post-metal band Isis, released in 2000 by Escape Artist and Hydra Head Records. It is their third "official" solo release and first full length. A year later, Isis released '' SGNL>05'', an EP designed to act as an extension to ''Celestial''; its tracks were all directly culled from the ''Celestial'' recording sessions. Frontman Aaron Turner describes them as being “part of the same whole”, separated from each other because releasing a double album for the group's first full-length may have been overbearing for listeners. In addition to the regular CD and vinyl LP editions, ''Celestial'' is available in a double release, coupled with its sister EP, ''SGNL>05''. On June 5, 2013, it was announced that ''Celestial'' would be re-issued by Ipecac Recordings with new artwork from Turner, as well as the audio having been recently remastered by James Plotkin. Themes Turner has acknowledged that the album deals with the erosion of priva ...

Sawblade (Isis EP)
The ''Sawblade'' EP (also called the ''Buzzsaw'' EP) is a handmade CD-R made by Isis for their tour with Neurosis and Candiria, limited to 200 copies (the first 40 with red blade inserts, the remaining 160 with black). It was sold at these shows at a limit of 15 per night, and the leftover copies were given to friends of the band as a year-end "thank you" gift. The vinyl run of this release was limited to 250 copies. As such, Aaron Turner doesn't consider this an 'official' Isis release, describing it as “more like a special artifact for us and the few converts we had at the time”. "Emission of the Signal" and "House of Low Culture" were both constructed by Aaron Turner and Jeff Caxide at home. "Streetcleaner" and "Hand of Doom" are both covers of Godflesh and Black Sabbath, respectively. The former was recorded for Isis' 2000 split release with Pig Destroyer; both were recorded during the ''Red Sea'' sessions in 1999. The CD version of the release was a genuine sawblade wit ...

The Red Sea (EP)
''The Red Sea'' is an EP by Isis. An expansion of the sound pioneered on their previous release '' Mosquito Control'', this EP offers a slight evolution toward the direction Isis would begin to take with their first full length, '' Celestial''. The three songs which make up the original EP (tracks 1–3) are tied together with spoken word samples from the short-lived television series '' Hotel Room'' (specifically, the third episode, entitled "Blackout"). The song "Ochre" contains a sample from the film '' Dead Man'' by Jim Jarmusch, and is a reading of a portion of William Blake's poem " Auguries of Innocence". The album was first released on CD and 8" vinyl. The CD (and later 12") versions of ''The Red Sea'' contain the four songs that made up Isis' 1998 cassette demo (as bonus tracks); electronics are by former member Chris Mereschuk on those songs. This is the first release with Jay Randall ( Agoraphobic Nosebleed) on electronics and backing vocals (he also appeared on I ...

Mosquito Control
Mosquito control manages the population of mosquitoes to reduce their damage to human health, economies, and enjoyment. Mosquito control is a vital public-health practice throughout the world and especially in the tropics because mosquitoes spread many diseases, such as malaria and the Zika virus. Mosquito-control operations are targeted against three different problems: # Nuisance mosquitoes bother people around homes or in parks and recreational areas; # Economically important mosquitoes reduce real estate values, adversely affect tourism and related business interests, or negatively impact livestock or poultry production; # Public health is the focus when mosquitoes are vectors, or transmitters, of infectious disease. Disease organisms transmitted by mosquitoes include West Nile virus, Saint Louis encephalitis virus, Eastern equine encephalomyelitis virus, Everglades virus, Highlands J virus, La Crosse Encephalitis virus in the United States; dengue fever, yellow fever, ...
