Shade (film)
''Shade'' is a 2003 American neo-noir crime thriller film directed and written by Damian Nieman and starring Stuart Townsend, Gabriel Byrne, Thandiwe Newton, Jamie Foxx, Melanie Griffith and Sylvester Stallone. The film follows a trio of grifters who attempt to set up a legendary card shark nicknamed "The Dean". The film had a limited release in the United States on May 7, 2004. Plot In an underground poker game, a man is revealed to be cheating with a hole card when the game gets robbed. He manages to defend himself and everyone but him and one robber is killed. Theodore Ringwalt Hartley (born November 6, 1924) is a U.S. Navy fighter pilot, investment banker, actor, film producer, and is currently CEO of RKO Pictures. He was married to heiress, actress and philanthropist Dina Merrill until her death in 2017. His last acting credit was 2012 and his last producing credit was in 2015. CineVegas was a film festival held annually at the Palms Casino Resort in Paradise, Nevada that ran from 1999 to 2009, typically in early June. CineVegas was originally held at Bally's. Dmitri Matheny (born December 25, 1965) is an American jazz flugelhornist. Early career Matheny was raised in Columbus, Georgia, and Tucson, Arizona. He began playing piano at age 5 and switched to trumpet at age 9 while at the Brookstone School in Columbus. At age 12, his family relocated to Tucson, where he played in his school band program. He led his first group at 16 and received funding from the Tucson Jazz Society to continue his studies. In 1983–84 Matheny attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and from 1984–89 Berklee College of Music in Boston.
