Shabnaz (born Sabrina Tania) is a retired Bangladeshi film actress. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film '' Nirmom'' (1996). Shabnaz debuted her acting career in the film ''Chandni'', directed by Ehtesham in 1991. Personal life Shabnaz married her co-artist, Nayeem, on 4 October 1994. They have two daughters. Nayeem (actor)
Khawaja Naim Murad, better known as "Naim" or "Nayeem", (born 8th May 1970) is a Bangladeshi film actor, film producer and television director. He is referred to as “ Notun projonmer ogrudud” meaning pioneer of the new generation by the media in recognition of his role in ushering in a new age of youth actors in Bangladeshi cinema in the 1990s. Naim made his acting debut alongside his wife, then-co-star film actress Sabreena Taniya Shabnaz Naim, popularly known as Shabnaz, in Ehtesham's "Chandni" 1991 (The Moon Ray). He acted over 21 films with the actress Shabnaz. Naim’s first leading role in Chandni was a massive success making him an overnight sensation. Abu Nur Muhammad Ehteshamul Haq (1927 – 17 February 2002), known as Captain Ehtesham, was a Bangladeshi and Pakistani film director. On his death in 2002 he was described as a Innovator, pioneer of the film industry in Dhaka, and one of Bangladesh's leading directors. Birth and early life Ehtesham was born in Dhaka on 12 October 1927. His father, Mohammad Yusuf, was a professor at Maulana Azad College, Islamia College and his mother, Mosammat Kaniz Fatema, was a house wife. Career Ehtesham first became a film cinema distributor in 1950. He was credited with the discovery of many noted actors. In 1956 he began his first film, ''Ei Desh Tomar Amar'' ("This country is yours and mine"), which marked the first film acting appearance for both Subhash Dutta and Shabnam. He made successful films in Urdu and then, after the independence of Bangladesh, in Bengali language, Bengali.
