Shabnam Majeed
Shabnam Majeed is a Pakistani film and TV playback singer. Personal life Majeed had four children with her former husband Wajid Ali, a music director. Their son, Naqi Ali (Lucky Ali), died aged seven after falling down the stairs in 2010. She filed for khula (separation from husband) in February 2020. Majeed's brother, Abdul Waheed, was shot dead on 18 November 2020. 12 days later, two arrests were made in connection with the murder investigation. Career Shabnam Majeed started learning music at the of 7. Shabnam first gained some fame in Pakistan through her remix of the single ''Dil Cheez Hai Kya''. She has been described as 'one of the most prolific playback singers of Lollywood' by a major English language newspaper, ''The Express Tribune''. PTV National Awards () was an awards ceremony annually held by the Pakistan Television Corporation. The awards were first introduced in the late 1970s to encourage talented people in Pakistan. History The PTV awards is the largest awards ceremony in the country and is presented by the government of Pakistan's largest media group. The Pakistan Television Corporation established the PTV Awards in 1970 from Karachi Headquarters. The awards were not famous in the start but became popular after the fifth PTV Awards ceremony. Khulʿ ( ar, خلع), also called khula, is a procedure through which a woman can give a divorce to her husband in Islam, by returning the dower (''mahr'') or something else that she received from her husband or without returning anything, as agreed by the spouses or Qadi’s (court) decree depending on the circumstances.
