''Shabda'' ( sa, शब्द, ), is the Sanskrit word for "speech sound". In Sanskrit grammar, the term refers to an utterance in the sense of linguistic performance. History In classical Indian philosophy of language, the grammarian Katyayana stated that ''shabda'' ("speech") is eternal (''nitya''), as is ''artha'' "meaning", and that they share a mutual co-relation. According to Patanjali, the permanent aspect of ''shabda'' is ("meaning"), while ''dhvani'' ("sound, acoustics") is ephemeral to ''shabda''. Om, or Aum, a sacred syllable of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, is considered to be the first resonating vibrational sound within an individual being. It also denotes the non-dualistic universe as a whole. In Buddhism, Om corresponds to the crown chakra and white light. Shabad, Telangana
Shabad is a town and a mandal in Ranga Reddy district in the state of Telangana in India. Its name is sometimes written as Shahabad. It is situated about 45 km from Hyderabad, the state capital. This town is well connected with roads, a state highway runs through Shabad, which connects Shabad with Hyderabad, and nearby Chevella, Shamshabad and Shadnagar towns. Geography It has a similar climate as that of Hyderabad, but now the place is cooler compared to Hyderabad. As the town is surrounded by water bodies and forests, it has a cooler climate. In summer the temperature rises to about 31 degrees C, and in winter it falls to about 15 degrees C, and even some times less than 8 degrees C. Shabd (film)
''Shabd'' () is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language psychological thriller film produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, and directed by Leena Yadav. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Aishwarya Rai and Zayed Khan. The film got good reviews but performed below expectations at the box office, despite being profitable. The story is adapted from the critically acclaimed Malayalam film ''Rachana'' released in 1983. Plot Author Shaukat Vashisht lives a wealthy lifestyle in India with his wife, Antra, who is a lecturer. Shaukat achieves fame when he is nominated for the Booker prize, and goes on to win it. His publishers, hoping that they have unleashed a goldmine, are disappointed with his subsequent works, and soon Shaukat is depressed to such an extent that he almost gives up writing. Then he decides to write a story on a woman named Tamanna, and figures that he will base this story on none other than Antara herself. Zemach Shabad
Zemach Shabad ( he, צמח שאבאד, pl, Cemach Szabad, russian: Цемах Шабад, Tsemakh Shabad; 5 February 1864, Vilnius, Russian Empire (now Vilnius, Lithuania) — 20 January 1935, Vilnius) was a Jewish doctor and social and political activist. He was a member of the Senate (parliament) of the Second Polish Republic (1928) and a co-founder and vice-president of the YIVO (Institute for Jewish Research). In 1932, Shabad toured to Palestine with Dr. Abel Lapin from Kaunas. During his trip, Shabad hosted by the Health Committee of the Knesset and the Jerusalem Medical Association. He was one of the originators of the volkist movement, which eventually turned into the Folkspartei (Jewish People's Party). In 2007, Zemach Shabad was honored with a monument in Vilnius, reflecting the fact that he was the prototype of "Doctor Aybolit", a good doctor from a children's poem by Korney Chukovsky.
