Sha'Keela Saunders
Sha'Keela Saunders (born December 18, 1993) is an American track and field athlete who competes in the long jump. Saunders finished third at the long jump final at the 2017 IAAF Diamond League and 2018 IAAF Diamond League. She represented her country at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics and won gold at NACAC Championships. Professional career In Fall 2022, coach Sha'Keela Saunders joined Hampton University track and field staff. 2022 USA Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The 2022 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Eugene, Oregon organized by USA Track and Field. It was serving as the national championships in track and field for the United States. The results of the event determined qualification for the 2022 World Athletics Championships, also held in Eugene. Provided they had achieved the World standard or are in the World Athletics ranking quota, the top three athletes in each event gained a place on the World team. In the event that a leading athlete did not hold the standard, or an athlete withdrew, the next highest finishing athlete with the standard was selected instead. 2019 World Athletics Championships – Women's Long Jump
The women's long jump at the 2019 World Athletics Championships was held at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, from 5 to 6 October 2019. Summary Throughout the 2019 season, only 3 athletes were able to jump over 7 metres, led by Malaika Mihambo who had been there in 6 out of 10 competitions. One of the others was defending champion Brittney Reese, who didn't make it out of the qualifying round, leaving Ese Brume as Mihambo's strongest challenger. On the first jump of the competition, Brume jumped 6.83m, then third up Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk came close to Brume with a 6.81m. The 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships () was the seventeenth edition of the biennial, global athletics competition organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), since renamed World Athletics. It was held between 27 September and 6 October 2019 in Doha, Qatar, at the renovated multi-purpose Khalifa International Stadium, but reduced to 21,000 available seats. 1,772 athletes from 206 teams competed in 49 athletics events over the ten-day competition, comprising 24 events each for men and women, plus a mixed relay.
