Seán McVeigh
Seán McVeigh (born 1990/91) is a dual player. He plays Gaelic football for St Eunan's, as well as, formerly, hurling for the Donegal county team. McVeigh is from Letterkenny. He made his inter-county debut at the age of 16, away to Longford in the 2007 National Hurling League. He played for the full game and scored at Croke Park when Donegal won the Lory Meagher Cup in 2011. He has also scored in the National Hurling League and Nicky Rackard Cup. In 2012, he won the Donegal Senior Football Championship with his club team, scoring in the final as well. He was named on the Nicky Rackard 'Champion XV' in 2012, to formally be awarded at that year's All Stars Banquet. He scored a goal in the final of the 2013 Nicky Rackard Cup as Donegal defeated Roscommon. His goal was an exceptional solo effort. St Eunan's GAA
St Eunans GAA ( ; or ''Naomh Adhamhnáin'') is a dual club which plays hurling and Gaelic football. Their home ground is O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny. They field 35 teams, making them the biggest club in their county. One of the strongholds of Gaelic football in County Donegal, they have won the joint most Donegal Senior Football Championship along with Gaoth Dobhair who have also won 15. Considered Donegal's most prolific club, they are renowned for their conveyor belt-like consistency in producing players of senior inter-county quality, including numerous All-Ireland winners. GAA GPA All Stars Awards
The Gaelic Athletic Association-Gaelic Players' Association All Stars Awards (often known simply as the All Stars) are awarded annually to the best player in each of the 15 playing positions in Gaelic football and hurling. Additionally, one player in each code is selected as Player of the Year. The awards were instituted in 1971. Since 2011 they have been presented jointly by the Gaelic Athletic Association and the representative body for inter-county players, the Gaelic Players Association. The ''Donegal News'' (also known as ''Derry People/Donegal News'' and formerly ''Derry People'') is a twice-weekly local newspaper in the northwest of the island of Ireland, first published in 1902. The 2019 Christy Ring Cup was the 15th staging of the Christy Ring Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It is the third tierHurling tiers - 1. All-Ireland (Liam MacCarthy Cup) 2. Joe McDonagh Cup 3. Christy Ring Cup 4. Nicky Rackard Cup 5. Lory Meagher Cup of senior inter-county hurling. 2018 Nicky Rackard Cup
The 2018 Nicky Rackard Cup was the 14th staging of the Nicky Rackard Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It was the fourth tier of senior inter-county hurling as of 2018. The competition began on Saturday 12 May 2018 and ended on Saturday 23 June 2018. Derry were the 2017 champions, beating Armagh in the final. Both teams were promoted to the 2018 Christy Ring Cup as a result of the restructuring of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. Following the withdrawal of the Fingal team from the competition in 2017, there was no relegation from the 2017 competition and Warwickshire were promoted from the 2017 Lory Meagher Cup. Armagh County Hurling Team
The Armagh county hurling team represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of hurling. The Wicklow county hurling team represents Wicklow in hurling and is governed by Wicklow GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. 2018 National Hurling League
The 2018 National Hurling League was the 87th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Wexford finished top of Division 1B in 2017 and were promoted to Division 1A for 2018. Galway finished second in Division 1B in 2017 and so missed out on promotion, even though they subsequently won the Division 1 league final. Cavan re-entered the National Hurling League in Division 3B, having previously withdrawn. Lancashire also entered in Division 3B for the first time.
