Seyfi Dursunoğlu
Seyfi Dursunoğlu (born Seyfettin Dursun; 1 October 1932 – 17 July 2020), also known by his stage name Huysuz Virjin (''Grumpy Virgin''), was a Turkish performing drag artist, comedian, singer and TV presenter. From the 1970s until the 2000s, he was a well-known entertainment figure with his programs in Turkey's television. Life and career Dursunoğlu was born in 1932 in Trabzon. After finishing his education at Haydarpaşa High School, he studied philology but left the university to work as a civil servant at the Social Insurance Institution (SSK). After working for 18 years as a public officer in the SSK, he left his job and started to perform under the name Huysuz Virjin as a drag artist in 1970. He started his career at small clubs, but as his reputation spread out, he started to get offers from bigger clubs. Trabzon
Trabzon (; Ancient Greek: Tραπεζοῦς (''Trapezous''), Ophitic Pontic Greek: Τραπεζούντα (''Trapezounta''); Georgian: ტრაპიზონი (''Trapizoni'')), historically known as Trebizond in English, is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. Trabzon, located on the historical Silk Road, became a melting pot of religions, languages and culture for centuries and a trade gateway to Persia in the southeast and the Caucasus to the northeast. Kanto ( tr, Kanto, el, Κάντο) is a popular genre of Turkish music. Terminology Italian opera and theater had a profound effect on Turkish culture during the early 20th century. The terminology of music and theater derived from Italian. In the argot of the improvisational theater of Istanbul the stage was called ''sahano'', backstage was referred to as ''koyuntu'', backdrops depicting countryside as ''bosko'', the applause as ''furi'', and the songs sung as solos or duets between the acts and plays were called ''kanto''. As was the case with their Italian counterparts, the Turkish troupe members played songs and music before the show and between the acts to pique people's interest and draw in customers. ''Avrupa Yakası'' (''European Side'') is a Turkish sitcom, produced by Sinan Çetin and written by Gülse Birsel. The series was shot at Plato Film studios and its first episode was broadcast on ATV (Turkey), ATV on 11 February 2004.
