Seye Adelekan
Seye Adelekan (born 15 May 1988), sometimes known mononymously as Seye ( ), is a Nigerian British bassist, musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the live bassist for Gorillaz since 2017. Early life Seye Adelekan was born in Nigeria to a father who worked in the oil industry. He grew up in Lagos, Netherlands, Ecuador and south-east London. Career Seye's music career began in 2007. In 2012 Seye released his debut solo single "White Noise". Seye toured with Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sandé and worked as session musician for Paloma Faith, before joining Gorillaz in 2017. He has a tattoo of a dove (Spanish ''paloma'') as a tribute to Faith. Gorillaz
Gorillaz are an English virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, from London. La Roux ( ) is an English synthpop act formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. The act's debut album ''La Roux'' (2009) was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as " In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Recording of a follow-up album was marred by unsuccessful collaborations, the cancellation of two planned release dates, and reported conflict between the duo. Metronomy are an English electronic music group formed in 1999. As of 2021, the band consists of Joseph Mount (vocals, keyboards and guitar), Oscar Cash (keyboards, backing vocals, guitar and saxophone), Anna Prior (drums and vocals), Olugbenga Adelekan (bass guitar and vocals) and Michael Lovett (keyboards and guitars). Their music consists of vocal and instrumental electronic pop music. Olugbenga Adelekan
Olugbenga Adelekan, also known as Olugbenga, is a Nigerian-born music producer. Olugbenga performs as a solo artist and as the bass player of the Mercury Music Prize Award-nominated band Metronomy. Biography Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Olugbenga moved with his family to The Hague, The Netherlands before returning to Nigeria in his teens. At the age of 16 he settled in England, where he started making original music. Olugbenga studied English literature at King's College, Cambridge.
