''Sex to Sexty'' was a sexually-oriented humor magazine published in Arlington, Texas, by John W. Newbern, Jr. and Peggy Rodebaugh, with art direction (and cartoons, covers, etc.) by Lowell Davis (later to become known as a creator of bucolic art)), under the respective pseudonyms of Richard or Dick Rodman, Goose Reardon, and Pierre Davis. Randolph, Vance, edited with an introduction by G. Legman. ''Blow the Candle Out: "Unprintable" Ozark Songs and Folklore. Vol. II: Folk Rhymes and Other Lore'' Fayetteville, Arkansas: University of Arkansas Press, 1992; p. 943 The content was a mixture of risqué anecdotes; limericks (some by Gershon Legman) and other short humorous sexual poetry; and cartoons, the latter initially by Davis but soon expanding to include artists such as veteran good girl artists Bill Ward and Bill Wenzel. Sex To Sexty Issue 1 - 1964
Sex is the trait that determines whether a sexually reproducing animal or plant produces male or female gametes. Male plants and animals produce smaller mobile gametes (spermatozoa, sperm, pollen), while females produce larger ones (ova, often called egg cells). Organisms that produce both types of gametes are called hermaphrodites. During sexual reproduction, male and female gametes fuse to form zygotes, which develop into offspring that inherit traits from each parent. Males and females of a species may have physical similarities (sexual monomorphism) or differences (sexual dimorphism) that reflect various reproductive pressures on the respective sexes. Mate choice and sexual selection can accelerate the evolution of physical differences between the sexes.
