''Sex Therapy: The Session'' is the fourth studio album by American Contemporary R&B, R&B recording artist Robin Thicke, released December 15, 2009 on Star Trak Entertainment in the United States. ''Sex Therapy'' also features guest contributions by Jay-Z, The Game (rapper), Game, Kid Cudi, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and Estelle (musician), Estelle. The album debuted at number 9 on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 chart, selling 123,000 copies in its first week. Upon its release, ''Sex Therapy'' received generally positive reviews from music critics. Background Speaking in March 2010 to noted UK R&B writer Pete Lewis – Deputy Editor of the award-winning ''Blues & Soul'' – Thicke explained: "I'm always gonna have the influence of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Al Green in my music. Robin Alan Thicke (born March 10, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his 2013 hit single " Blurred Lines", which is one of the best-selling singles of all time. At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, he received nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Thicke is a son of actress Gloria Loring and actor Alan Thicke. He has collaborated with numerous artists, such as Nicki Minaj, 3T, T.I., Christina Aguilera, Jessie J, K. Michelle, Pharrell, DJ Cassidy, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Flo Rida, Brandy, Kid Cudi, Mary J.
