Severino Yunier González (born September 28, 1992) is a Panamanian professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2015 and 2016. Baseball career Philadelphia Phillies González signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an international free agent in April 2011. Playing for the Reading Fightin Phils in 2013, González had a 2.00 earned run average with 119 strikeouts over innings pitched. After the season, he won the Paul Owens Award as the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Year. González made his major league debut on April 28, 2015, against the St. Louis Cardinals. González appeared in 27 games for Philadelphia in 2016, registering a 5.60 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched. Michael Edward Brett Saunders (born November 19, 1986) is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, and Philadelphia Phillies. He was nicknamed "The Condor" by Dave Sims, who attributed the origin of it to Lee Tinsley. And also, "Captain Canada". 2023 World Baseball Classic Qualification
The qualifying round of the 2023 World Baseball Classic will be held in September 2022. Teams which participated at the 2017 World Baseball Classic automatically qualified for the 2023 tournament. The qualifying round is to consist of two tournaments to be participated by six teams each. The qualifiers were planned to be hosted in Tucson, Arizona in the United States but after the delay, the qualifier hosts were changed to the cities of Regensburg, Germany and Panamá City, Panama. Winners and runners-up of each of the two tournaments were to qualify for the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The first qualifying tournament was originally scheduled to be held from March 13–18, 2020 and the second from March 20–25, 2020, before the qualifiers' postponement was announced on March 12, 2020 by Major League Baseball due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Guerreros de Oaxaca (English: Oaxaca Warriors) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. Their home field is Estadio Eduardo Vasconcelos. History In October 1995, a group of businessmen, led by Alfredo Harp Helú, learned that the Charros de Jalisco were unable to continue participating in the league. 2021 Caribbean Series
The 2021 Caribbean Series (Serie del Caribe) was the 63rd edition of the international competition featuring the champions of the Colombian Professional Baseball League, Dominican Professional Baseball League, Mexican Pacific League, Panamanian Professional Baseball League, Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League, and Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
