Luis Severino (born February 20, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). Severino signed with the Yankees as an international free agent in 2011, and made his MLB debut in 2015. After a rough 2016 season, he broke out as one of the league's best pitchers in 2017, being named an All-Star and finishing third in the American League Cy Young Award vote. Pedro Severino De León (born July 20, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball catcher in the San Diego Padres organization. He previously played in MLB for the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers. Emanuele Severino (26 February 1929 – 17 January 2020) was an Italian philosopher. Biography Severino studied at the University of Brescia and graduated at the University of Pavia under Gustavo Bontadini with the first Italian dissertation on Martin Heidegger and the Metaphysics. Subsequently, Severino broke publicly from Bontadini in 1970 while both were members of faculty of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Severino Di Giovanni (17 March 1901 – 1 February 1931) was an Italian anarchist who immigrated to Argentina, where he became the best-known anarchist figure in that country for his campaign of violence in support of Sacco and Vanzetti and antifascism. Paola Severino (born 22 October 1948) is an Italian lawyer, academic and politician. She served as Minister of Justice in the Monti cabinet from November 2011 to April 2013, being the first woman appointed Minister of Justice in Italian history. ''Severino'' is the seventh studio album by Brazilian rock band Os Paralamas do Sucesso. It was released in 1994 and produced by famous record producer Phil Manzanera. It was their most experimental album. The sonority and lyrical themes of ''Severino'' were heavily influenced by the popular music and the culture of Northeast Brazil, and the poetry of famous writer João Cabral de Melo Neto (most notably his masterpiece '' Morte e Vida Severina''). Severino Poletto (18 March 1933 – 17 December 2022) was an Italian cardinal of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Turin from 1999 to 2010. A bishop since 1980, he was made a cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2001. Biography Poletto was born in Salgareda, Veneto, on 18 March 1933, the youngest of 11 children, 9 of whom survived infancy. Severino José Cavalcanti Ferreira (18 December 1930 – 15 July 2020) was a Brazilian politician, born in João Alfredo, Pernambuco. He was a member of the Progressive Party, despite having changed parties eight times in his career. Isabelle Severino (born 9 April 1980) is a French gymnast and actress from Montmorency, Val-d'Oise, Montmorency, Paris, France. Severino was a member of the France at the 1996 Summer Olympics, 1996 and France at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 French Olympic teams where the French team placed 8th and 6th respectively. Isabelle is also a veteran of several World Championships and European Championships, having won medals at both of these competitions and made several All Around and Event finals at both competitions.
