Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. Kevin Danell Mann (born January 10, 1970), better known by his stage name Brotha Lynch Hung, is an American rapper, songwriter and record producer from Sacramento, California who has been described as "the creator of horrorcore rap." He is also a former 24th Street Garden Blocc Crip gang member which is a Crip affiliated street gang based in Meadowview, Sacramento. Early life Mann grew up in Sacramento. He became a fan of east coast rappers such as Rakim and Slick Rick. He started rapping at the age of 13. He became a member of the 24 Street Garden Blocc Crips by age 16 during the 1980s. Stewart D. Ashby Jr. (born May 9, 1973) better known by his stage name Big Scoob is an American rapper from Kansas City, Missouri, who records for Strange Music. Early life Big Scoob spent his late adolescence and part of his early adulthood involved with gangs in his native Kansas City, Missouri. Rap music eventually provided a path out of the lifestyle. ''Genius'' is the second album from Krizz Kaliko, an American rapper from Kansas City, Missouri, which was released on July 14, 2009. ''Sickology 101'' is the eighth studio album, and the second in the "Collabos" series, by rapper Tech N9ne. Early on, the album carried a "The Study of Being Sick" subtitle, but as its release grew nearer, the subtitle was phased out. It was released on October 7, 2008 and was able to chart #60 on ''Billboards "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" chart in its first week of release. It contains 19 tracks, with collaborations with fellow Strange Music label mates like Tech N9ne, the group Skatterman & Snug Brim, and Krizz Kaliko. It also includes other artists such as BG-Bulletwound, The Popper, Greed, Joe Vertigo, Riv Locc, DJ Chill, Vance Leroy, Bishop, and singer Jerita Streater. Melvin Lewis Calhoun Jr. (born January 1, 1977), better known by his stage name Kutt Calhoun, is an American rapper and business executive from Kansas City, Missouri. After getting his start in the late 1990s underground rap scene of Kansas City, he subsequently signed to Strange Music when the label was founded in 1999. Skatterman & Snug Brim
Skatterman & Snug Brim is a rap duo from Kansas City, Missouri, United States, best known for their song "Block Party". After releasing projects separately, Skatterman (born Stacy Dewayne Landis) and Snug Brim (born Aaron R. Henderson) combined as a group. The duo released their first album, ''Worth A Million'', in 2002 through Below Radar Records. On the cover they were listed as "Skatterman & Snug Brim," but the inside of the case displayed "Skatterman & Snug Brim AKA Yung Gunz." The "Yung Gunz" name was later dropped due to a conflict with another group of the same name, but different spelling, (Young Gunz).
