Seth Justman
Seth Justman (born January 27, 1951) is the keyboard player for the U.S. rock band, The J. Geils Band. Biography Justman was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in Atlantic City, and is Jewish. He co-wrote many of the band's songs with singer Peter Wolf, and took sole songwriting credits for the band's biggest international hit, "Centerfold" (number 1 for six weeks on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100). Seth is the brother of Paul Justman, director of the 2002 movie, ''Standing in the Shadows of Motown''. Paul and Seth shared songwriting credits for most of the songs on the band's final album, ''You're Gettin' Even While I'm Gettin' Odd''. Justman also became the band's main vocalist following Wolf's departure until the band's first break-up in 1985. Standing In The Shadows Of Motown (film)
''Standing in the Shadows of Motown'' is a 2002 American documentary film directed by Paul Justman that recounts the story of The Funk Brothers, the uncredited and largely unheralded studio musicians who were the house band that Berry Gordy hand-picked in 1959. Background The Funk Brothers recorded and performed on Motown's recordings from 1959 to 1972. The film was inspired by the 1989 book ''Standing in the Shadows of Motown: The Life and Music of Legendary Bassist James Jamerson'', a bass guitar instruction book by Allan Slutsky, which features a biography of James Jamerson along with his bass lines. The film covers the Funk Brothers' career via interviews with surviving band members, archival footage and still photos, dramatized re-enactments, and narration by actor Andre Braugher. Debbie Harry
Deborah Ann Harry (born Angela Trimble; July 1, 1945) is an American singer, songwriter and actress, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Blondie. Four of her songs with the band reached on the US charts between 1979 and 1981. Born in Miami, Florida, Harry was adopted as an infant and raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey. After attending college, she worked various jobs—as a dancer, a Playboy Bunny and a secretary (including at the BBC in New York)—before her breakthrough in the music industry. Harry co-formed Blondie in 1974 in New York City.
