Serie Del Rey
The Serie del Rey () is the annual championship series of the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol to determine a champion at the end of each season since 1970. The champions from each division, Norte and Sur (), compete in a best-of-seven series, with the winner being awarded the Copa de Zaachila. Previously, the league champion was the winner of the most games in a round robin tournament. The series is named in reference to baseball being called the king of sports. The Diablos Rojos del México have played in 33 series and won 16 championships, the most of any teams, followed by the Quintana Roo Tigres who have played in 16 and won 12 and the Sultanes de Monterrey who have played in 15 and won 10. Liga Mexicana De Beisbol
The Mexican League (, ) is a professional baseball league based in Mexico and the oldest running professional league in the country. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. Five teams in each division advance to a four-round postseason tournament that culminates in the Serie del Rey, a best-of-seven championship series between the two division champions. The Mexican League has two affiliated minor leagues, the Liga Norte de México and Mexican Academy League. Though founded in 1925, the league joined the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues ( Minor League Baseball) in 1955, when it was designated a Double-A league. Tecolotes De Los Dos Laredos
The Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos (''Owls of the Two Laredos''), formerly known as the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo (''Owls of Nuevo Laredo''), are a Minor League Baseball team based in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and Laredo, Texas in the Mexican League. The Tecolotes are a binational baseball team, splitting their home games between Mexico and the United States. Their home games in Mexico are played at Parque la Junta, while their home games in the United States are played at Uni-Trade Stadium. Alijadores De Tampico
The Alijadores de Tampico (Tampico Lightermen) were a professional baseball club based in Tampico, Tamaulipas that played in the Mexican League between the 1940s and 1980s. The Alijadores were an excellent team and won titles in 1945 and 1946. However, they were not very profitable and did not play from 1949 through 1970. In 1971 the league reinstated the franchise, which played as the Estibadores de Tampico (Tampico Stevedores) during two seasons. Starting 1973, the team returned to its former name and won the championship title in 1975. After 1979, Tampico was once again removed from the league. The franchise once again returned in 1983 and was renamed the Astros de Tampico for that season, playing again as the Alijadores in 1984. Sultanes Monterrey
The Sultanes de Monterrey ( en, Monterrey Sultans) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Monterrey, Mexico. They compete in the Northern Division. The team also joined the Mexican Pacific League for the 2019–20 season following the conclusion of the Mexican League season, making them the only team to participate in both the summer and winter leagues in Mexico. History The team was formed on May 20, 1939, as Carta Blanca (a local beer brand, owned by Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma which owned the team). The team was renamed to Industriales in 1942. Lomas (Spanish for "hills"), also called fog oases and mist oases, are areas of fog-watered vegetation in the coastal desert of Peru and northern Chile. About 100 lomas near the Pacific Ocean are identified between 5°S and 30°S latitude, a north–south distance of about . Lomas range in size from a small vegetated area to more than and their flora includes many endemic species. Apart from river valleys and the lomas the coastal desert is almost without vegetation. Scholars have described individual lomas as "an island of vegetation in a virtual ocean of desert."
