Serhiy Diryavka
Serhiy Heorhiyovych Diryavka ( uk, Сергій Георгійович Дірявка; born 18 April 1971) is a Ukrainian professional soccer coach and a former player. Club career Diryavka is a product of the Dnipro city football schools including regional sports college as well as FC Dnipro football school "Dnipro-75". He joined the senior squad in 1988 and played for its reserve squad for three seasons in 1989–1991. His first games for the senior squad he played in the 1990–91 Soviet Cup in home and away games against FC Alga Bishkek. The same season he also participated in the 1990 USSR Federation Cup group staged and featured in 4 games for Dnipro. His debut at the Soviet Top League came about in 1991 in the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk on 5 August 1991. Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. FC Hirnyk-Sport Horishni Plavni is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football club based in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Oblast. The club competes in the Ukrainian First League, First League. FC Zorya Luhansk ( uk, ФК «Зоря» Луганськ ) is a Ukrainian football team. Zorya Luhansk is based in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. However, because of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the team play their games at Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhzhia. The modern club as a team of masters was established on 10 April 1964 by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union merging the October Revolution Plant (Luhanskteplovoz) sports club Zorya and the Luhansk regional branch of the "Trudovye Rezervy" sports society. In 1972, as Zaria Voroshilovgrad, the club became the first provincial Soviet club to win the Soviet Top League title. 1992 Vyshcha Liha ( uk, Чемпіонат серед команд вищої ліги) was the first football championship organized in Ukraine after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and officially recognized by the UEFA. The last Soviet season finished in fall of 1991. Football Sports Club Bukovyna Chernivtsi is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Chernivtsi. History The club was established in 1958 as Avanhard Chernivtsi (Avangard Chernovtsy) for republican competitions and became the first club from Chernivtsi Oblast to be added to the Soviet Class B competition in 1960. 1992 Ukrainian Cup
Like the championship, the first edition of the Cup had a tight schedule as the Football Federation of Ukraine was given just several months in order to switch to the European seasonal format with the minimum required matches played. The competition started on February 10 and the final was played on May 31. Only the clubs participants of the Supreme and First Leagues competed this season. It was the first National Cup edition replacing the previous competition of the Ukrainian SSR Cup, which was organized as a regional qualification competition for the Soviet Cup. The last winner of that Soviet competition FC Temp Shepetivka was eliminated in the first preliminary round by Kremin Kremenchuk. Football Club Metalist Kharkiv ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб Металі́ст Ха́рків ) is a Ukrainian football club based in Kharkiv that plays in the Ukrainian First League during the 2021–22 season. It was revived 5 years after the original FC Metalist Kharkiv ceased operations. Founded in 1925, FC Metalist Kharkiv had worked its way up the rungs of the Soviet football system, eventually being promoted to the Soviet Top League in 1960. After a difficult period which included relegation, Metalist was promoted to the Top League again in 1982, where it remained until the league's dissolution. 1991–92 Soviet Cup
The 1991–92 Soviet Cup was the last edition of an already non-existing political entity, the Soviet Union. On December 25, 1991 the President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev announced that he resigns as president. On December 26, the Soviet of the Republics, the upper chamber of the Union's Supreme Soviet, voted the Soviet Union out of existence (the lower chamber, the Council of the Union, had been unable to work since December 12, when the recall of the Russian deputies left it without a quorum). In the spring of 1992, all three remaining Ukrainian clubs withdrew from the competition leaving only Russian and Central Asian clubs to contest the main trophy. Because of that only one game was played during the competition's quarterfinals, while a club from Tajikistan, Pamir Dushanbe, advanced to the semifinals where it was eliminated. FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. 1991 Soviet Top League
The 1991 Soviet Top League season was the 54th since its establishment and the last one. Dynamo Kyiv were the defending 13-times champions. A total of sixteen teams participated in the league, twelve of them have contested in the 1990 season while the remaining four were promoted from the Soviet First League due to withdrawals. The representatives of the Baltic states as well as Georgia chose not to take part in the competition. The season began on 10 March and lasted until 2 November 1991. The season was won by PFC CSKA Moscow that returned to the top league prior to the last season while winning the Soviet Cup competition as well. The season's culmination occurred in its final rounds, when the army team managed to overtake Spartak, while with four rounds left in the season, Spartak was leading the table a point ahead of CSKA and a recent thrashing of Dynamo Moscow 7 to 1. Soviet Top League
The Soviet Top League, known after 1970 as the Higher League (russian: Чемпионат СССР по футболу: Высшая лига), served as the top division of Soviet Union football from 1936 until 1991. The professional top level of football competition among clubs was established in 1936 on proposition of Nikolai Starostin and was approved by the All-Union Council of Physical Culture. Originally it was named Group A. After World War II it became known as the First Group. In 1950, after another reform of football in the Soviet Union, the First Group was replaced with Class A. By 1970, the Class A had expanded to three tiers with the top tier known as the Higher Group which in 1971 was renamed into the Higher League.
