Sergio Díaz (footballer, Born 1985)
Sergio Alejandro Díaz (born 9 February 1985) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Díaz was born in Turón, Asturias. After starting out at local Real Oviedo, making his senior debut aged 17 in the Segunda División in a relegation-ending season, he finished his football development at Real Madrid, having joined in 2003. Over two seasons in the second division – of the five in total he spent with the team– Díaz made a further seven league appearances with the reserves. He was also called up to the first team for a UEFA Champions League match against FC Dynamo Kyiv in December 2006 ( the group stage's last), but remained an unused substitute; he earned another call that month, in La Liga against Sevilla FC, although he ultimately was cut from the final squad of 18. The 2010–11 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 27 August 2010, the regular league ended on 4 June 2011, and the season ended with the promotion play-off finals on 18 June 2011. The first goal of the season was scored by Javi Guerra, who scored a sixth-minute goal for Real Valladolid against Villarreal B in the early kick-off. The first red card of the season was given to Hernán Pérez from Villarreal B in their opening game against Valladolid. Juan Carlos Mandiá
Juan Carlos Mandiá Lorenzo (born 17 January 1967) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a defender, currently a manager. Playing career Mandiá was born in Alfoz, Province of Lugo. Over a 16-year playing career he represented Real Madrid Castilla (adding two first-team appearances), RCD Español, RC Celta de Vigo – helping to a 1992 promotion to La Liga– CD Logroñés, CD Toledo and Córdoba CF. Mandiá totalled 89 top-flight matches over the course of seven seasons, going scoreless in the process. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The 2006–07 UEFA Champions League was the 15th season of UEFA's premier European club football tournament, the UEFA Champions League, since it was rebranded from the European Cup, and the 52nd season overall. The final was contested by Milan and Liverpool on 23 May 2007. Beforehand, the match was billed as a repeat of the 2005 final, the only difference being that the 2007 final was to be played at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece. Milan won the match 2–1 to claim their seventh European Cup, with both goals coming from Filippo Inzaghi. Dirk Kuyt scored for Liverpool.
