Sergey Fedorovich Lebedev (russian: Серге́й Фёдорович Лебедев; January 1868 – December 1942) was a Russian chess master. Chess career S.F. Lebedev lived in Saint Petersburg before World War I, during and after the war (Petrograd, Leningrad). He took 4th at Moscow 1899 (the 1st All-Russian Masters' Tournament, Mikhail Chigorin won), took 3rd at St. Petersburg 1900 (Chigorin and Alexander Levin won), tied for 8–10th at Moscow 1900/01 (the 2nd RUS-ch won by Chigorin), thrice won, jointly with Grigory Helbach (1), ahead of Abkin (2), and ahead of Emmanuel Schiffers (3) in St. Petersburg in 1901, and tied for 9–10th in the Kiev 1903 chess tournament (the 3rd RUS-ch, Chigorin won). Sergey Lebedev (chemist)
Sergei Vasilievich Lebedev (russian: Сергей Васильевич Лебедев; 13 July 1874 – 2 May 1934) was a Russian/Soviet chemist and the inventor of polybutadiene synthetic rubber, the first commercially viable and mass-produced type of synthetic rubber. Biography Lebedev was born in 1874 in Lublin and went to school in Warsaw. In 1900, he graduated from St. Petersburg University and found work at the Petersburg Margarine Factory. Starting in 1902, Lebedev moved from university to university in Russia, starting at the Saint-Petersburg Institute for Railroad Engineering. In 1904, he returned to St. Petersburg University to work under Alexey Favorsky (Stalin Prize, 1941, for contributions to the manufacture of synthetic rubber). Sergey Alexeyevich Lebedev (russian: Серге́й Алексе́евич Ле́бедев; 2 November 1902, n.s. – 3 July 1974) was a Soviet scientist in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science, and designer of the first Soviet computers. Biography Lebedev was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Empire. He graduated from Moscow Highest Technical School in 1928. From then until 1946 he worked at All-Union Electrotechnical Institute (formerly a division of MSTU) in Moscow and Kyiv. In 1939 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences for the development of the theory of "artificial stability" of electrical systems. During World War II, Lebedev worked in the field of control automation of complex systems. His group designed a weapon-aiming stabilization system for tanks and an automatic guidance system for airborne missiles. Sergey Nikolayevich Lebedev ( rus, Серге́й Никола́евич Ле́бедев, p=sʲɪrˈɡʲej nʲɪkɐˈlajɪvʲɪtɕ ˈlʲebʲɪdʲɪf; born 9 April 1948) is a Russian politician who has been the Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) since 2007. Sergey Elefertovich Lebedev (russian: Сергей Элефертович Лебедев) (born 31 January 1969 in the Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union) is a retired football midfielder. Lebedev is a former Uzbekistani international, who obtained a total number of 33 caps during his career, scoring ten goals. He later became a football coach. Playing career Lebedev started playing professionally in ''Turbina Naberezhnye Chelny'' in 1985. He completed 3 seasons for ''Turbina'' and wento to FC Dynamo Kirov in 1988.
