Sergei Ivanovich Osipov
Sergei Ivanovich Osipov (russian: Серге́й Ива́нович О́сипов; 22 September 1915 – 12 October 1985) was a Soviet painter, graphic artist, and art teacher, who lived and worked in Leningrad, a member of the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation. He regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, most known for his landscape and still life paintings. Biography Sergei Osipov was born in a peasant family in the village of Stepankovo in the Bezhetsky Uyezd of the Tver Governorate. Since pre-revolutionary years, his father worked on construction in Petrograd. Osipov started his education in primary school of the village of Porechie. In 1927 he coming to his father in Leningrad. Here he graduated seven classes of secondary school No. 57 and enters a pupil at the plant. Then he works with his father in construction. Bezhetsky Uyezd (''Бежецкий уезд'') was one of the subdivisions of the Tver Governorate of the Russian Empire. Its capital was Bezhetsk. Bezhetsky Uyezd was situated in the eastern part of the governorate (in the eastern part of the present-day Tver Oblast). Alexander Osmerkin
Alexander Alexandrovich Osmerkin (; - June 25, 1953) was a Russian painter, graphic artist, stage designer, and art teacher. He was a member of the Knave of Diamonds avant-garde group, AKhRR, and ''Society of Moscow Artists'' (OMKh) groups. Since 1932 he was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. Biography Childhood Alexander Osmerkin was born in Elisavetgrad (now Kropyvnytskyi, Ukraine) into the family of a post-office clerk. Young Osmerkin was raised by his Ukrainian nanny, who eventually stayed with him through the rest of his life as his personal assistant. He took his first art lessons at the drawing department at Elisavetgrad Regional Professional School under a Peredvizhnik painter Feodosy Kozachinskiy. .
