Serena Burla
Serena Burla (born September 27, 1982) is an American track and field athlete from St. Louis, specializing in long-distance running events. In college, Burla was a two-time Big 12 Conference runner-up for the Missouri Tigers. Burla competed in the 2009 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships where she finished 16th (upgraded from 17th place after suspension of Inga Abitova). Burla won the 2013 USA Half Marathon Championships (held as part of the Houston Half Marathon). Waukesha ( ) is the county seat of Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Its population was 71,158 at the 2020 census. Houston Half Marathon
The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon usually held every January in Houston, Texas, United States, since 1972. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon and a 5 km race. 2015 World Championships In Athletics
The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally. Inga Eduardovna Abitova (russian: Инга Эдуардовна Абитова, born 6 March 1982 in Novokuybyshevsk) is a Russian Long-distance track event, long-distance Running, runner, who specializes in the 10,000 metres and the marathon. She was the 2006 European Champion in the 10,000 m and reached the final at the 2008 Summer Olympics. The 2009 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships was held in Birmingham, United Kingdom on 11 October 2009. It was the final event of the International Association of Athletics Federations' 2009 World Athletics Series. Organisation The city of Birmingham was selected by the IAAF Council after a presentation by UK Athletics and the Birmingham City Council.
