Seremaia Burotu
Seremaia "Jerry" Burotu (born 19 July 1987) in Tavua is a Fijian rugby union footballer. He currently plays for French team Provence Rugby and the Fiji national rugby union team and usually plays as a Number 8, Inside centre or wing. Career Burotu who is from Korovou Village in Tavua, started his career playing for Tavua in the Digicel Cup in 2006. He was selected by the then Fiji 7's coach, Jo Savou to join the Fiji sevens team for the last leg of the 2007–08 IRB Sevens World Series. He made his debut at the 2008 London Sevens His impact on the big stage was massive. He scored 4 tries in that tournament. He finished the 2010–11 IRB Sevens World Series with 29 tries. He joined Top 14 side, Biarritz in April 2011. His ability to score tries with blistering speed and power attracted scouts from the Biarritz following the withdrawal of some of its key players including centres Yann Fior and Arnaud Mignardi who have signed for Brive for two seasons. Queen Victoria School (Fiji)
Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a school in Fiji. It was established in 1906 in Nasinu to provide education to the sons of Fijian Chiefs. It later moved to Nanukuloa in Ra when World War II broke out; then the school was moved to Lodoni where the two schools QVS and RKS operated side by side before eventually moving to its current site at Matavatucou, Tailevu. It then accepted students from Fijian villages based on their results in a secondary entrance examination. The school is run as an academic college, but there is an adjoining farm which provides food to the school and serves as a training ground. Students are taught basic skills like crop and livestock husbandry, and there is a small dairy unit. These sessions usually last for about three hours and take place on Saturday morning. 2010–11 IRB Sevens World Series
The 2010–11 IRB Sevens World Series was the 12th annual IRB Sevens World Series of rugby union sevens tournaments for full national sides run by the International Rugby Board since 1999–2000. Sevens is traditionally played in a two-day tournament format. However, the most famous event, the Hong Kong Sevens, was played over three days, largely because it involved 24 teams instead of the normal 16. 2013–14 European Challenge Cup Pool Stage
The 2013–14 Amlin Challenge Cup pool stage will be the opening stage of the 18th season of the European Challenge Cup, the second-tier competition for European rugby union clubs. The opening round of matches will be on 10–13 October 2013 and the closing round on 16–19 January 2014. Twenty teams will participate in this phase of the competition; they are divided into five pools of four teams each, with each team playing the others home and away. Competition points are earned using the standard bonus point system. The pool winners advance to the knockout stage, where they will be joined by three entrants from the Heineken Cup pool stage. The quarter-finalists will then participate in a knockout tournament that ultimately ends with the final at the Arms Park in Cardiff on Friday 23 May 2014. 2012–13 European Challenge Cup
The 2012–13 Amlin Challenge Cup was the 17th season of the European Challenge Cup, Europe's second-tier club rugby union competition. A total of 23 teams participated — 20 in the pool stage, plus three teams parachuting into the knockout stages from the Heineken Cup. The original 20 teams represented six countries. The pool stage began in Mont-de-Marsan on 11 October 2012, with Stade Montois hosting Gloucester. It ended on 19 January 2013 when Stade Français hosted competition newcomers London Welsh, followed by the knockout stages culminating in the final at the RDS Arena in Dublin on 17 May 2013. The defending Challenge Cup champions, France's Biarritz Olympique, did not initially have a chance to defend their crown because they earned an automatic berth in the Heineken Cup.
