Serbian Language
Serbian (, ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. It is the official and national language of Serbia, one of the three official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina and co-official in Montenegro and Kosovo. It is a recognized minority language in Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Standard Serbian is based on the most widespread dialect of Serbo-Croatian, Shtokavian (more specifically on the dialects of Šumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovina), which is also the basis of standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin varieties and therefore the Declaration on the Common Language of Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, and Montenegrins was issued in 2017. The other dialect spoken by Serbs is Torlakian in southeastern Serbia, which is transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian. Serbian is practically the only European standard language whose speakers are fully functionally digraphic, using both Cyril ...

Non-governmental Organization
A non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-governmental organisation (see spelling differences) is an organization that generally is formed independent from government. They are typically nonprofit entities, and many of them are active in humanitarianism or the social sciences; they can also include clubs and associations that provide services to their members and others. Surveys indicate that NGOs have a high degree of public trust, which can make them a useful proxy for the concerns of society and stakeholders. However, NGOs can also be lobby groups for corporations, such as the World Economic Forum. NGOs are distinguished from international and intergovernmental organizations (''IOs'') in that the latter are more directly involved with sovereign states and their governments. The term as it is used today was first introduced in Article 71 of the newly-formed United Nations' Charter in 1945. While there is no fixed or formal definition for what NGOs are, they are genera ...

New Serb Democracy
New Serb Democracy (, NSD; officially abbreviated NOVA) is a Serbian nationalist right-wing political party in Montenegro, formed on 24 January 2009 as a merger between Serb People's Party and the People's Socialist Party of Montenegro. Since 2012, it has been a constituent member of the Democratic Front. History Envisioned as a broad coalition of pro-Serb parties of Montenegro centred around '' Serb List'' coalition of 2006, NOVA was planned to include Democratic Serb Party as well as various Serb cultural and political organisations. However, the merger was more limited, as only the Serb People's Party, People's Socialist Party and "Matica Boke" cultural organisation came to a merger agreement. New Serb Democracy is led by Andrija Mandić, leader of the former Serb People's Party. Mandić sought to transform the ''Serb List'' coalition into a more moderate and civic-oriented party, in order to boost the party's coalition potential, and even the dropping the "Serb" prefix f ...

Serb List (2012)
The Serb List ( sr, / ) was a minor Serbian nationalist and political party in Montenegro, established on 5 January 2012. Ideology The party supports the far-right Serbian Radical Party of Vojislav Šešelj in Serbia, and the view that Montenegro should return to a union with Serbia as two brotherly states. Controversially, the party has proposed that Radovan Karadžić, Ratko Mladić and Šešelj become honoured citizens of towns Šavnik, Pljevlja and Kolašin, as their families hail from the region and they have worked for a common Serb cause. It has earlier asked for the rehabilitation of Blažo Đukanović and another 24 Montenegrin Chetniks executed in 1943. History The initial " Serb List" coalition established in 2006, was transformed into the New Serb Democracy in 2009. Some of the members of the former alliance decided to once again establish a party under that name. The (new) Serb List was established on 5 January 2012, with the assembly choosing Rajo Vojinović as t ...

Serb National Council Of Kosovo And Metohija
Serbian National Council of Kosovo and Metohija (abbreviated as ''SNC Kosovo and Metohija'', sr, Srpsko nacionalno Veće Kosova i Metohije, SNV KiM) is an elected political and coordinating body acting as a representative of Serbs of Kosovo. History North Kosovo barricades Tensions flared over the issue of controlling Kosovo-Serbia checkpoints. From Kosovo's independence in 2008 until mid-July, the two main border posts in the north were controlled by EULEX. But on July 25, the Republic of Kosovo deployed special police to these two checkpoints to enforce a recent trade ban on goods entering from Serbia proper. Kosovo Serbs then erected barricades on various roads, preventing access to the Jarinje and Brnjak border posts. KFOR has since requested the removal of the barricades. President of the Council, Nebojsa Jovic, said Serbs would keep the barricades and were ready to protect them with their lives: "If the barricades are taken down, EULEX and KFOR will have to pass through us, ...
