Serbia Women's National Volleyball Team
The Serbia women's national volleyball team is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and takes part in international volleyball competitions. FIVB considers Serbia the inheritor of the records of SFR Yugoslavia (1948–1992) and Serbia and Montenegro (1992–2006). The Olympic Committee of Serbia declared the women's national volleyball team the best female side of the year from 2006 to 2011. Serbia earned a silver medal at the 2016 summer Olympics, a bronze medal at the 2020 summer Olympics, won back to back the FIVB World Championship in 2018 and 2022. Giovanni Guidetti
Giovanni Guidetti (born 20 September 1972) is an Italian volleyball coach. He's been coaching Turkish team Vakıfbank Spor Kulübü since 2008. He coached the Turkey women's national team between 2017 and 2022. Career Guidetti coached from 1995 until 1998 the team Volley 2000 Spezzano in his hometown. In 1997, the team was promoted to the Italian Women's League Serie A. For this success, he was awarded the title "''Coach of the Year.''" Between 1997 and 2000, he served as the vice coach of the Italy women's national volleyball team. During this period, he took part in the 1998 World Championship in Japan and at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. After his function at the United States Professional Volleyball League (USPV) in the 2000-01 season, he returned to Italy as coach of Vicenza Volley. FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Nanjing, China. United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in the final. In July 2018, the FIVB announced that China would host the next three editions of the women's Volleyball Nations League Finals, from 2019–2021, but on March 13, 2020 the FIVB decided to postpone the Nations League until after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the FIVB canceled the 2020 edition and confirmed Italy as the host of the final stage of the 2021 VNL. 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the fourth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, an annual women's international volleyball tournament. The competition was held from 31 May to 17 July 2022, and the final round took place in Ankara Arena, Ankara Turkey. Belgium were the last placed challenger team after the preliminary round and will be replaced by 2022 Challenger Cup winners Croatia in the 2023 edition. Italy claimed their first VNL title after defeating Brazil in straight three sets. Brazil took their third silver medal, consecutively. 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship
The 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 29th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted by Netherlands and Belgium from 26 September to 4 October 2015. The championship managers were the Dutch Olympic gold volleyball medalist Peter Blange and the former Belgian volleyball player Virginie De Carne. Russia defeated Netherlands 3–0 in the final to capture their 19th title, while Tatiana Kosheleva was elected most valuable player back to back. The 1951 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the third edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. The 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. The 2007 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Nanjing, China. Defending champions Brazil won their record twelfth title in the tournament after a 3–2 win over Italy. Serbia captured their third bronze medal in the competition by defeating China in a rematch of the previous year's Olympic final. Natália Pereira from Brazil was elected the MVP for the second straight year. In the Group 2 finals held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Poland defeated South Korea in straight sets. The 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix was a women's volleyball tournament played by 16 countries from 5 to 28 August 2011. The finals were held at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Macau, China. 2006 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship
The 2006 FIVB Women's World Championship was the fifteenth edition of the competition, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held from 31 October to 16 November 2006 in Japan. The finals involved 24 teams, of which 22 came through qualifying competitions, while the host nation and reign champion qualified automatically. Of the 32 teams, 16 had also appeared in the previous tournament in 2002, while Cameroon, Costa Rica, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Serbia and Montenegro made their first appearances at a FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. Volleyball At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Tournament
The women's tournament in volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 15th edition of the event at an Olympic Games, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Tokyo, Japan from 25 July to 8 August 2021. It was originally scheduled to take place from 26 July to 9 August 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee announced on 24 March 2020 that the 2020 Summer Olympics would be delayed to 2021. Because of this pandemic, the games were played behind closed doors. The United States won their first gold after finishing runners-up three times with a 3–0 win over Brazil. Serbia won the bronze medal with a victory over South Korea.
